Hello Alex, what a mega impressive project you are putting on your feet here. modellbahn-u. construction to perfection. i find the ideology behind your project absolutely convincing. long distances, large radii are not seen every day in model railroad layouts. thumbs up for your work and I'm excited to see what will come in the future.
Hallo Alex, I'm impatiently waiting for your next video. You are building a multi-level layout and I am hoping that you will show us how your trains move from one level to the next. I'm supposing that it will be a gleiswendel solution of some sort, but I would still like to see how you work your magic - Your track is the very best that I have ever seen. Thanks, Neil
Thanks Neil and sorry for the late reply. There are no track helixes at all on the BBM1930s, all the ramps from one level to the next are linear with 90° to 180° curves in the corners of the room with maximum grades between 1.0 and 1.9%. No higher grades are feasible with 3m long trains running. A helix with an average grade of 1.5% would have a diameter of 1.7m. It wouldn't fit.
Hi Alex, not a problem I realise that you are busy. For my own layout (700metres of track west of the Hönebach tunnel I am trying to work out how to model the grade. I am a beginner but I aspire to creating a track layout as close as I can to the level of quality that you have realised on BBM1930s. I am even considering ignoring the gradient and just laying the track horizontally - is there any chance you might produce a video showing in detail how you realise the change in level on your layout? Hallo Frank, so sehr mich deine Aufforderung auch schmeichelt, Tatsache ist, dass ich auf TH-cam über den Bau der BBM1930s berichte und nicht eine Anlage baue, um einen TH-cam-Kanal zu betreiben. Ich bin voll berufstätig, hab drei Kinder und viele Interessen, auch innerhalb der Eisenbahn. Die Entstehung der Untersuchungsgruben im BW ist voraussichtlich das nächste Thema für TH-cam mit viel Hintergrund und bisher unbekannten Methoden, ich werde mein bestes geben, bald fertig zu werden, erst mit den Gruben, dann mit dem Film.

I found your videos only this morning , and watched all of them , even in german , which I do not undestand . We have so much in common , from the Epoche , to the philosophy of modelling . I also have an attic , in a very old house , but for now my layout is in the ground floor , 7,5 x 4,5 .
What impressed me is the fact that colour your ties like I do . One by one .
Keep up the excellent work , and do not stop in subtitles . I am rather reserved when it comes to socialising in our hobby , do not have time for it ,but I will watch each and every video you make .

Se decidessi di fare anche un manuale sulle tecniche presentate nei tuoi video lo acquisterei immediatamente a qualsiasi prezzo. Purtroppo in Italia, nonostante ci siano grandi modellisti come te, la cultura dei treni in scala non è cosi diffusa come in germania o Inghilterra, percui manuali di modellismo italiani non esistono ch'io sappia. Mille grazie Fernando per il tuo grande apprezzamento! E' un piacere condividere le tecniche costruttive e vedere che vale la pena il lungo lavoro per produrre un video di qualità. Alex, vielen Dank für die filmische Zusammenstellung der einzelnen Planungs- und Bauabschnitte. Meine Begeisterung kennt keine Grenzen! Diese Akribie, diese Ausdauer, dieses Wissen, diese Geschicklichkeit! Wenn ich mich nicht täusche, dauert dieses Projekt (konkret die Realisierung des Anhalter Bahnhofs) bereits mindestens fünf Jahre. Aufmerksam wurde ich darauf jedoch erst in den letzten Tagen. Meine große Bitte: Neutitulierung sämtlicher Bauphasen hier auf TH-cam beginnend mit Part 1 bis Part x. Das wäre sehr schön. Liebe Grüße, Klaus
Vielen Dank Klaus! Erst das letzte Video habe ich "Update" genannt, weil zuviele Themen drin waren und alles in drei Sprachen beschriftet... über eine Nummerierung werde ich nachdenken, danke für den Hinweis. Muss sehen, wie ich die unabhängigen Einzelthemen dazwischen eingliedere.

Hintergrund meiner anfänglichen Entscheidung für Englisch war, dass ich auch in der italienischen Eisenbahnszene aktiv bin und ich so hoffte, nur eine Videoversion bringen zu müssen. Inzwischen habe ich aufgrund der Statistiken zu deutsch gewechselt mit italienischen und engl. Untertiteln. So schön und befriedigend es ist, die Videos herzustellen, es ist einfach auch sehr, sehr aufwendig für mich, ich bin kein geborener Showmaster...
