i love this song so much. it really captures the hecticness of living in london, everyone rushing around each morning to make ends meet. it's crowded yet lonely, we're all just trying to make it through and the cycle repeats...
"We're all just trying to make it through." Simple, but highly perspective-enhancing. I might just start repeating that in my head as mantra, for moments that I start to feel anxious in public or around coworkers.
I really enjoy this song. It subtly reminds one of the existential dread that is the everyday flow of life. The constant outs, ins, and rushing through to connect that ends to justify the means. Leaving you reevaluating the true emotional value if what was done.
Flipping channels and caught Betty end scene and was captivated by the sound I was hearing . I to Googled lyrics immediately and now part of favorites playlist. Nostalgic over my time spend in the 🇬🇧 in late 80's
E.A. Dupont, Rene Magritte, Jean-Luc Godard and Richard Lester, significant influences that you are, welcome to the 21st Century World of the Producer and Song Visionary, Nabihah Iqbal. This video is like a fabulous tribute to all of you. Ms. Iqbal's debut album, Weighing Of The Heart, was released on December 1, 2017. I hope she's working on her next album. I continue to wait. Regarding Zone 1 to 6000: The first time I heard this, in mid-November, 2017, I was already entranced. I smiled as the track progressed. I thought I recognized 2 strong, inspirational sources behind the words and music. My first thought was, North Circular, originally issued on August 21, 2014, by the English Synth/Dance/Trip Hop/Innovative and truly Marvelous Band, Real Lies. Their debut album, Real Life, premiered on October 16, 2015. Fortunately, they saw the beauty and value of North Circular, including it as the sixth track on their only album. Of course I thought of Pet Shop Boys, but honestly, Real Lies and North Circular was the stronger impression for me. I couldn't help thinking, Ms. Iqbal might have listened to this track very carefully. As for Pet Shop Boys, their own special outlook on music remains as vital and refreshing as ever. Ms. Iqbal certainly must know any number of songs in their extensive catalogue. Lyrically, Zone 1 to 6000 is a direct connection to the poets, William Blake and Matthew Arnold. Nabihah Iqbal gets everything right. As far as I'm concerned, this sonic journey is a standout. It transcends the 1980's and early 1990's, bringing particular moods and ideas up to date. After turning on the car ignition, it's perfect to start you off on a long distance road trip. There's an old saying: "Music can take you places." Ms. Iqbal, I'm ready for your second album. After all, the road trips I take cross City lines, County lines, State lines and the music I bring along matters. You're on that List. With Great Respect from North Hollywood, California, Joe
@@Oldcountrynewchannel Sir, For all the times I've chosen to return to this particular video, it's one of the rare beauties that continue to dazzle me with every visit. You have extraordinary visual perception, and an ability to allow your imagination to be guided by words and music. Then, true artist that you are, you take everything further. I don't need to know how you achieved such innovations. Magicians don't reveal the secrets to their marvelous feats of wonder. Their only hope is that we, the audience, will be mesmerized and appreciate what we just witnessed. With your camera work, your choice of settings and the right amount of timing for each sequence, you allow us to hear, see and interpret Zone 1 to 6000, and take us to another dimension. I need to research your work, and I will. Continue your cinematography. I need to see more innovative work like yours in the video format. I truly hope you get to helm a full length motion picture. Always, keep your vision skywards. - Joe, North Hollywood, California
