Agreed. The writers almost dropped the ball on that one. IN the pilot episode when Ari has dinner with Eric you hear him briefly mention about having a girl on the side or something. But it was such a trivial point of dialogue you could easily pass it off as him just trying to show off. I think the way they made him, ruthess but principled was a brilliant choice. No matter what he goes after he keeps his ethics in check, unless you screw with him first (i.e. Terence, Davies)

Ari isn't stupid he and Terrance parted ways on bad terms Terrance even said he'd spend 50 mill to avoid paying Ari effectively fucking Ari over so the second he asked to be bought out Ari knew he was hiding something and made it his business to find out before Terrance tried to fuck him over a second time.
