With all due respect that red half jersey is as good of vow as the angus that's your favorite. The angus is borderline a cull.

How old is too old?

I'm not too sure about that. I'm thinking about buying a 10 year old cow right now because it has had a calf every year, and it still has a good udder. But if I was starting out I would say I wouldn't buy anything older than 5 years old.
