i'm a delta boy, born and breed in lagos so while we were kids many years ago my father rented a room&parlour apartment in building at ajangbadi afromedia so evry morning, afternoon and night one of the tenants keeps blasting different tracks of this man's songs and it was a real disturbance to us,so as they kept playing this music evryday and were having fun as time went and months became years,we couldn't complain about the noise of the music as i later found out that the tenants playing those songs are not tenants but our landlords and that they are they are the very Kayode Fashola's family, that was how i knew then that their uncle this very wonderful musician died in a car accident on their way back from a performance. After many years i have grown to be a man living here in New York city and each time i feel the good times gone by and feel like listening to this music again so thank u for uploading this music as i am enjoying it right now in my room right here in New York city- United States.
Kayode Fashola's family this is omo iya chukwudi one of ur tenants those days at ur building in ajangbadi afromedia, it was really nice u playing this great songs so loud now it's part of me.

Honestly I cant believe I just transferred 100k naira each to my parents just 3 mins into this emotional song. Not as if I dont send money to them at intervals, but this song has a way of reminding you that they wont be around for too long, so you just have to show them endless love now before it is too late. Trust me when they are gone, they are gone. So my dear brothers, before you book that flight or arrange that uber to pickup that olosho(runs girl) today to come spend the night that will cost you 50k and above, ask yourself if your parents have eaten breakfast. God bless us all

He was a Secondary School teacher then, and i used to called him Baba Sade because he has a daughter called Sade then. Though he is no more but his music still lives on . But I can never forget the morals in this song, which I now also sing it to my children. Daddy mi, Mummy mi both of you continue to rest in peace in the bossom of our Lord till we meet to part no more.

The morals from Kayode Fashola's song shaped my life. I can say that I'm kind, humble, and love to pray. My father used to play Kayode Fashola's music, and unknowingly to us, the children, our spirit-man, was being shaped by the songs to be kind to our parents, neighbors, and fellow humans. To work hard and to also remember the children of whom we are wherever we go. No such morals in today's music, they are full of vulgar, immoral jibrish that don't make sense. That is why children nowadays lack manners. Music we listen to shapes our life.

In fact, it brought back the memories of the time I went to my mum's village at Ebute Igbooro in Igun State and she was showing me his family house! It's really a good track cos it's very educative! May his gentle soul continue to rest in peace and may He give you and the rest of the children the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss!

This song in reminiscent of good old Nigeria when things were working relatively.
Kayode Fashola with his sonorous voice, philosophical music and contents exhume nostalgic memories of my dad and mum whom were both ardent lover of KF and by extension passing the trait to me as I was my dad's DJ in those days changing the plates of the turn table. I grew up with all kayode music in my head and I mean All.
I wish I hope there would be a reincarnate of Kayode Fashola as out heritage in music is almost in extinction. What we have now are mere cacophonies and jeun jeun musicians with no contents and life lessons.
Didun ni iranti awon olododo nitoripe won lo sun ninu oluwa.
Rest on kayode fash, JAB nd iya tope. 😢

hmmm this track was played by the ambulance that carried my mothers remains back home on 11th march, 2010 while I was crying uncontrollably, I took time to listen to the lyrics of this song and was grateful I had aligned my life style with what the musician was saying and the very last words my mother had told me a day before her demise that my children will not only look after me but will out do me. Thank you groovemonzter for posting this music for I never knew the name of this artist and have seriously struggled to lay my hands on this tape till I heard my colleague play it from TH-cam. I was running errands for my dad yesterday Monday, 11th of November 2024. I got to the office of my dad's friend and this was the music that was playing and I felt a gush of nostalgia. My dad made us listen to these songs when we were younger, from 5:am till around 7:15am when we would leave for school. My brother and I hated every moment of it, because he literally sholved these songs down our throats. Fast forward to 2024. Now the thing is, everytime I hear these songs, not only do the lyrics inspire and minister to me, I also enjoy the melody, the cromatic harmony, the long interludes that consist of strings, horns, percussions e.t.c. that would give you time to process and digest the previous verse, and the slow and rhythmic progression... OMGGGG
Now guess who is playing this song at past 00:am while doing my UI/UX design task... MEEEEEEEE🤩😁😁😁

OSBC-Oyo State Broadcasting Corporation Ibadan played this song severally many years ago. Back then I was in secondary school. It's evergreen still. Many of us didn't know what we had until our parents departed to the great beyond. Then we began to regret our misdeeds to them. That would be very, very late my dear brothers. Let's make amends.I'm listening 🎧to it just now again.

Since I was a kids I really really love music especially yoruba music. But this type of kayode Fashola music is quite unique because it's only few musicians that play this type of music.
    AYINDE BAKARE
    IK DAIRO
    ADE ADE
THEOPHILUS IWALOKUN and few ones that I couldn't remember.
Secondly my stepmom has a shop in our house we she sell drinks .Neighbourhood drink shop not beer parlor and our next neighbour has palmwine parlor .All she play is KAYODE FASHOLA ,AYINDE BAKARE, IK DAIRO so this we I got to know this musicians of great.Till today I listen to them music all day.

Good Music. Kayode Fashola's music teaches good morals , to love our neighbours, and love / worship our God .It's a pity that our young musicians in Nigeria today are packaging noise and rubbish which they call music .

Thank you for uploading, great artist of all times. Would be nice to have them on iTunes so the returns can go to their estate or families. I hope someone who knows about stuff like this can look into this. We should encourage people to pay for these evergreen music. I would be very happy to pay for to have them downloaded in my iPod and listen to them on the train. Can you please let me know where i can get the originals, not copies ( I will expect that they have been converted into CDs)
