7:00 I came to Civil 3D from software engineering background, and I hate how the industry is willing to accept crashing software. 1. Crashes shouldn't happen 2. If there is a problem, it should catch the exception and handle it ideally without alerting the user that there was a problem. 3. If there is a real problem let the user know and undo to a place where there was no known issues in the document instead of crashing.
Exactly! It seriously kills my budget on my projects! Some projects that have been around for a while and were created on older versions crash multiple times an hour! Almost spend more time clicking save / restarting C3D than I do actually working!
Hi there. Usually I create my feature lines first and each one in different site and when I tried to do grading, an alert said: this feat line is not belong to this group. So how I can move them to the new group? Thanks
yeah feature lines need to be in the same site (or container) in order to interact with other object in that site (or container)....you can right-click on your feature line and select Move to Site...

So funny, same base drawing as the other grading tutorial I was looking at, must be affiliated
yeah I think Bartles used that sitebase for feature lines, must be an out of the box tutorial.
ok I'm 4 minutes in and have smashed my computer to bits with a hammer, what's step 2?
