Canadian here: It is absolutely horrifying. You normally hear it loud as hell at around 2 AM. Sometimes another one goes off thirty minutes later in French. They do tests, too, cause they have to, and it's terrifying. Doesn't make it any better that I'm autistic and have anxiety, so it sends me into a panic REAL quick lmao
