The Canadian one doesn't seem scary but it always makes me jump like it just start randomly playing on my phone when someone goes missing or something and it goes to full volume like one time I was sleeping and it started playing and I woke up and flew like a airplane off my bed and crashed into a very expensive bedside table I broke it-
Having the Canadian one blasting in my ears because I was wearing headphones was fun. Honestly that shit scares the shit out of me when I don’t expect it
I remember one day, my watch kept sending me tests, but turns out it was a glitch (it was trying to give me a real warning) and a huge snowstorm was coming
As a Canadian, it was not pleasant to hear that alarm play off of 7 phones at the same time when I was at an art class. To make matters worse, we were drawing outside and the alarm said "Tornado warning",so we went inside and looked out the window and started screaming because we thought the sky was green but the window was TINTED. 💀 (somebody said if the sky was green then the tornado is here) I fricken texted my mom "goodbye" like i was so convinced 😭✋
As a Canadian, that alarm is fucking terrifying. I am not in a tornado/natural disaster area so only hear those alarms for amber alerts. I got into the habit of turning off my ringer at night so I don’t wake up scared shitless

They do tests, too, cause they have to, and it's terrifying. Doesn't make it any better that I'm autistic and have anxiety, so it sends me into a panic REAL quick lmao
As a Canadian hearing that tone, you are literally FILLED with a sense of dread. When Russia began the attack on Ukraine, it was the same day Canada was to do their EAS alarm test. We thought Nukes were in the air for about 5 minutes, we were horrified and had no idea what to do.
