I am very curious to know how to work athletically with mastiff this size... we see videos of Boer Boel hunting and working hard at open fields of South Africa historically... but what is the reality? Can one train a Boer Boel to jog beside ones bicycle for an hour a day for example? How well can they develop such endurance with the big bones and heavy body they also have? is it good for them if one start with short 5 minute runs or something like this? please advice kindly! thanks for a nice video

If I understand you correctly, it is about regularly leading a Boerboel next to the bike at a fast pace.
I don't think the Boerboel is made for that, he can certainly run fast with a little training, but that contradicts every breeding idea. We're talking about a dog of 70kg and over that shouldn't be running for hours.
I think if then he is more suitable for jogging, in a light trot. However, be aware of the weather and temperature.
      Thank you for your comment
      best regards

@@hatari-boerboel8470 so light trot for a dog should be about 25 km/h right? this is something even the Boerboel can do for more than an hour?

@@framestomind7548 The Boerboel is a heavy dog, there are other breeds for sporty ideas

@@hatari-boerboel8470 I am not looking for a Vissla.. I am jut trying to understand if I can bike in a normal pace with a Boer Boel for an hour back and forth as morning walk.... They were used by farmers in South Africa who have enormously huge landscapes they must have been running on to watch cattle... so, what kind of exercise can I do with them and not? where is there limit?
      thanks for getting back :)
