The Kamuzu Academy Gule Wamkulu Project seeks to record the Great Dance of the Chewa People of Malawi as it is performed in the area of Kamuzu Academy, Kasungu District. It encompasses also Gule Wamkulu outside Kasungu (and Malawi) which relates to this work, including KULAMBA (the Ceremony of Thanksgiving) as it is performed (Saturday, 27th August, 2022) before King Gawa Undi at Mkaika Village, ZAMBIA. In this excerpt we watch NJOVU (the Elephant), who has travelled from Kasungu District, Malawi, with Senior Group Village Headman Chakwanira and his people.
