Well, since you asked---the worst noise for me (and it will drive you crazy like a Chinese Water Torture) is the CONSTANT beeping of the heart monitors in a hospital. I had several surgeries awhile back, and the heart-monitor beeping, day and night of my own monitor and all of the ones up and down the hall was just intolerable. Even with my door closed to the hallway, it was still loud, on-going, and all of the different ones contrasting with each others' sequence created a perfect storm of audible violence to the brain. (Note: I do not like the back-up truck beeps either--always sets our dogs barking for a good ten minutes.) Just saying.🥸
