Honestly though- having long term holdings AND a stash for swing trading can generate alpha so long as you can use indicators and can stomach volatility.
Great video. I am a long term investor. I have built my portfolio in what most would consider defensive stocks and specifically for free cash flow/dividends like XOM/MO/VZ/PEP and SO. I have spent the last 30 25 years building my positions and i sleep great at night. It's slow but requires upkeep to own individual stocks and then i supplement my positions with SCHD and VDIGX. Looking to open positions in GIS and PM (for the international exposure that i can't get from MO) in the future. I also believe mostly in Munger's thoughts on concentrated positions in top ideas (stocks) and not overdiversification although i do have some with the 2 funds. Personally i think (obviously) this is the superior way to build a portfolio over time.
Perfect timing on day trading vs long term considering what has happened to SMCI. I know this is a significant part of your portfolio. What's your take on EY's statement and does your opinion on SCMI change after that?
🤒 Yep, SMCI kickin' my ass today but bought 1500 more to DCA lower. It wasn't totally unexpected as I do think some of the accounting allegations are true. I'm still holding some cash back just in case it delists (it's happened before) because none of this changes the company's position in the strongest growth theme right now. Even if they delist and we see another big price drop, they'll eventually relist and get back to a normal valuation on revenue that is surging.
Actually invested in (KULR ) a while back ago, and that was a highly volatile stock when I dipped my toe in there. Ended up making a little bit of money, but ended up losing more than I made because I wasn't keeping an eye on the volatility of that stock. Trade ( KULR ) with caution!
Thank you for the great content!! I really appreciate your clear and simple breakdown on financial pitfalls! I lost so much money on stook market but now making around $12k to $16k every week trading different stocks and crypt0s.

😆👍 Good info. Funny way to disperse that info. Nothing beats military humor. Nothing. Very interesting facts about day trading I never knew. Only 113% anual avg. Return ....? I can do better than that with letting my picks, ride it out.

So true. Thanks Joe❤
Can you speak about kulr technology. Curious about your opinion on the stock

@BrokenTengu99 it's a great company for long term. Haven't had any negative comments about it. Gonna take time

She is really a good investment advisor. I was privileged to attend some of her seminars. That is how I started my stock investment
I have heard about her excellent trading expertise in CNBC news, guess she's more popular in United States.
I thought I'm the only one that knows her well I guess her good reputations speaks for her now
Please how do I find this financial counselor?
she is always available on 👇
What are we going to do with SMCI after the 35 percent plunge today?

Pro tip: swing trade in your IRA or other retirement account. This will save you from the high tax blues.
😆👍

I enjoyed when teenager day trading bro culture wasn’t a thing.
Couldn't 19% success among day-traders be attributed to luck? What percentage of people leave a night of casino gambling with .003 gain?
“Asshole billionaire tweet storm” hmmm
I've just realised I'm a long, day and swing trader 😂 brilliant content, @Joseph Hogue✌️♥️🇬🇧
