Yes Christ has overcome it but our heads will still be on the chopping block. The escape of the pain will still be there. Suffering is not pleasent no words can comfort these types of pain even those suffering from disease that cause physical pain. 😭😭😭

Thank you pastor Jeff, not just for this sermon, but for your honesty and sharing of your struggles. You’ve been such a blessing to me, a 40 year old husband and father of two. I’ve gone to church of and on for 13 years, since we found out my wife was pregnant with our first, but only really came to faith about 20 months ago. So many of your sermons or shows have spoke directly to my struggles as a young Christian. It is kind of mind blowing how your videos will often just show on my you tube feed and speak directly to what I’m struggling with. Also thank you to you and all the pastors and your families that endure the hardships of ministering to Gods people.

Amazing…his ability to communicate the Gospel with force and clarity….and feeling is nothing short of awesome. I recently held my wife in my arms as she passed in my parlor. I’ve held my mothers hand in the ICU as she passed and I know Pastor Jeff is right about the assurances of God. Without Him, I wouldn’t have made it through….

I'm a long time listener of Jeff and ministers like him, but tonight is the first time I've watched this in-house platform/service. I was brought to my spiritual knees in tears. The Holy Spirit is working through this man and many other brothers like him in the Lord. I give God praise for tonight and the opportunity to listen to this message. I truly believe that God is pouring out His spirit in a very noticeable way to those who are paying attention.

Listening a third time. I desperately need it. Things keep getting worse. Lost mother earlier this year after 7 years of dementia hell. Then father hospitalized twice from the stress. Finally got a bit stable. But now dog is suddenly sick. When she dies, my father will likely spiral into depression again. I barely work part time. I can't find a full time job and even if I could, I can't work full time. I can't do anything but deal with the hell going on in this house 24/7. I am pretty much alone with this 90% of the time. I'm drowning here.

The timing and the Providence of God never ceases to amaze me. This year has crippled me. Everything a person could lose I have lost. Yes, I began to question God but I know that I sowed my seed into the wind and beginning in 2023 the whirlwind came. Yes, I could feel the chastening but that is a proof of His love. I had no control over losing my only Brother at 47. I was stricken with an illness in March that left me unable to walk for 4 months and I lost my job making 90K a year. I’ve been separated from my Wife since 10/07/22 and bound for divorce. I am surrounded by evil where I live and to hear this message, now, has been a searchlight in an ocean of darkness. I still have 85 months without even thinking of heroin once, so I know the Lord Jesus baptized me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Brother for such a powerful reminder!

Dear Pastor Jeff. There has been a few times in the past you have said words to the effect of "thank you for the support but you must go and find yourselves a Church and attend it, intergrate into the community" and while I totally agree with you I am unable to do so. Apologia has become my parish, be it an online one. Thank you for everything you do. I don't want to get into a debate with others in the comments but I am a Catholic. A struggling one but there are many things such as the communion of Saints that I wholeheartedly agree with and it keeps me identifying as a Catholic. This channel and Dr. Whites Alpha and Omega has helped me so much, it has grown me in my faith again, given me comfort, helped me find peace again in Christ and I have learned more from this channel than from my own Church over the years. Anyway, I always have you all in my prayers and thank you for the amazing work. May God bless you all and bless this ministry.

Listening through this a second time. Thank you again.
Side note: Thank you , also, to the tech team for having loud volume on Pastor Jeff. I can't figure out if it's a problem with TH-cam or my computer, but I'm having such a hard time with low volume on so many videos and podcasts. But other things are fine. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I have no cause to believe it's a censorship issue because it's not just Christian or conservative content. Most of the time I watch things on desktop so as to not use up all my phone data. It's hard to always be sitting in front of my speakers. Having loud volume helps me get things done while listening. Thank you again, whole team at Apologia!

PS: my father passed 9/14/23 in a similar fashion as your mom. He had double pneumonia, got better, then got way worse. We had to decide to let him pass naturally, and I was with him when he passed, praying over him. Not only did death focus my mind, but was renewed by it in the knowledge of our Savior. Truly, I saw it for the first time. May the peace of Jesus Christ be upon you and yours Jeff Durbin.

Our affliction is only but a moment (for example) suffering for 50 years doesn't even compare to an Eternity of no suffering with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To those who are suffering stay strong and no that one day there will be no more pain forever. Glory to GOD 🙏
For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.

You're wise beyond your years. You've struck deeply with a couple sermons over the years. The first was your message on the unpardonable sin-- and how Christians worry about having possibly committed it. You assured us if we were worrying about it, we haven't done so. You encouraged us here not to worry about the world, for Christ has overcome it. I know the Good Shepherd's voice, and your words ring of the truth. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, Christ's salvation and His calling. Do your very best and share the gospel with as many people as possible. God will make up for any of your imperfections.

When I have a hard time I always come to this. I sadly have a new phone so I don’t have it bookmarked but this sermon is powerful. You are literally doing God’s work. You beautiful man, you. God is terrifying, loving, just and graceful. Only an idiot wouldn’t be fearful. I respect Paul for hunting down what he inevitably became. Never meeting Christ only to witness glory in the 2nd hand is amazing. I use that word knowing exactly what it means. The glory of God overcomes all. For suck a wicked man to become a follower is astounding. I really don’t like this new narrative of “god is all love” no he isn’t. He loves us, not what we do in sin. He smites cities for being evil.. he’s just. He loves us but you should fear his wrath.

And I can tell you with every fiber of my being that I would rather leave this world and go live in another one and believe me I told God many times over the past two years I want to get out of this generation
I'm basically broke work at a horrible job for 2 years that I can't undo or make back I have a man that guilt and shame over that feels like the middle class is disappearing and that the economy is going to crash give young people like men no future see what happens
