We have another set from the 90's called the Vac-U Former. That used a light bulb and plastic sheets. It is one we want to make a video of. It would make a good comparison to this one.
How does this compare to the time it took the Mattel Car Maker to create wax cars? A nice addition would have been mechanical count down timer. Like what used to be featured on tape cassette players and recorders.

This device is essentially the Master Caster 2.0. Master Caster was the first attempt by Hot Wheels to make a vehicle like this. What Mattel REALLY needs to do is to give people the chance to make ANY vehicle, be it fantasy or real, from either the hot Wheels or Matchbox lines, let them choose their axles, bases, and such, and let them custom make their vehicle in a custom machine like this, or the aforementioned Master Caster, and boom, you have a HUGE marketing opportunity.
If the car maker had wax stick molds, you can create more wax sticks to your cars, they also have more car molds, the ones included in this set are fast fish and mega duty
Remember the old master maker car set where you have to put the mold in this cup and wiggle it into the bole and then use the handle to rotate the gears so it would then poor in the mold into the car
One question as a kid I had a little over that had metal mold trays that you put a liquid in and you could put different color liquids to make little lizards and stuff once they came out of the oven. Know what it may have been called?
I have an exam in manufacturing techniques next week and I totally count watching this as researching injection molding
