Nothing groundbreaking here, but it's still far better than everything else we've seen from NYFW so far. Everything looks great here. It's wearable, desirable, and it actually looks luxurious.
This is Michael Kors at his best - New York urban meets Middle American, more modern than Ralph Lauren, more refined than Tommy Hilfiger, which was always his aesthetic at its best. Best collection in past 4 years. Those were not very good due to lack of strong thematic identity. This is unabashedly AMERICANA, celebrating American style, bridging the coastal, middle American divide. To extend the political metaphor, this is center left/center right fashion, which is the majority of Americans.

Beautiful sense of proportion with a lot of "look and feel" overhead. Dial it down, This is where pedestrian can be a virtue. You don't need to be "noticed" to make an impression. Gonna come a day when clothes that say "I hoard money" will be considered to be in bad taste, might even net you a psychiatric exam.

I'm not sure were they dug up this camel color or the cheap gold aluminum foil look..but I truly think the only thing I liked was the plaid dresses....and a plaid jacket.....wished he had used different colors....we seem to be stuck in the mustard zone....worse color EVER....not classy....not pretty....looks like military garb....awful......super sad...😥

Great points. It’s also a nod to his 90s collections, too. The Fall 1999 Urban Cowboy collection. He does this type of aesthetic very well.
