i actually enjoyed this when i tried it at sephora, there’s an addicting part of it that kept me going back to it but i already have most of the born in roma’s so it would just be redundant

Chris the CEO's collection is partially presentation/bottle driven and it looks emaculate! Even though influencers have gems/discontinuations in their collections, most look like a collection of junk, mine included.
The opening for this one was comparable to the New Tom Ford Eau de Ombré Leather. The amber reaaaaaally comes through. I am a huge fan of fragrances with amber and are more subtle and people can only smell on you when they are closer to you. I don’t like smelling someone when they walk by. This one has more of a earthy dry down then the New Tom Ford but it is really nice, definitely my cup of tea. I agree it smells closer to the Yellow Dream.
I own this and wow it’s amazing it’s now my favourite of the line it’s abit less powdery which I think is better coz some Valentino’s are overly powdery but for me I’m gonna buy another bottle of this even tho I already got a full bottle
This gave me coconut vibes in the mid and drydown, off the paper, didn't try it on skin. It's probably the most interesting one from the whole line for me.
Last week I saw it on Jomashop listed for $170 but it was still in store for $120 😂 they changed it to the normal price or took it down completely a couple days later when I went back to look at it again tho
Some perfume vendor have tell me than Valentino don't unusually use pyramidal scent note like a lot of other does. It's stay the same all the time along on your skin, so it is not true or what?
Solar Notes... really. I feel like they actually are trying to tell us "Rays of Light", which is a joke to me, for a note. Although I get the intention. Still, why don't the go total-madness and call the note "Gold sparkle"? :D Cheers!
I don't smell iris in any of the Born in Roma Uomo fragrances. The iris note is in the original Valentino Uomo which smells similar to Dior Homme Parfum (or one of the many flankers). Born in Roma is geared toward noses that enjoy sweet, mass appealing, easy reach fragrances that some might say is unisex-fem leaning in some of the flankers.
I don't know, I just bought 4 EDT's after smelling them in the store. We'll see how they last, all of them Miyake's, one had a edp concentration but the scent was cleaned up so I liked the EDT better (Nuit d'issey).
Some EDTs like Prada Luna Rosa are amazing. Aqua de Gio is a classic and is an EDT and lasts for a pretty long time. Burberry Hero EDT is really nice as well. At the end of the day it’s the one the my nose likes the best. It also depends on the occasion. EDTs are amazing for gatherings and get tons of compliments but if you’re looking to wake up, go about your day, all day then yea EDP is better. I like to be more versatile with my fragrances.
I'm VERY disappointed. Returned this right away. Yellow dream is my favorite, and I thought this would be a more powerful Yellow dream. This is definitely more powerful. I had to take a shower
For those who want fragrance reviewers to 'do something different', please list exactly what it is you'd like them to do and maybe they'll take the suggestion. Personally I'd like to see more men discuss favorite home fragrances, laundry care items, etc. Even a discussion on favorite seasonal foods, drinks, clothing brands, current favorite audio books, podcasts, etc. I get that views for those videos may be lower than fragrance reviews but I'm genuinely curious as to what men are into these days.
