I think it's kind of hopeful, and melancholy. To me, the song references that the past happened, but it doesn't really matter what it was. Ahhh me! Not moving across the country but to another state but yeah graduating then moving out as well. Exactly describing my thoughts about this song rn
when watching older bill wurtz videos, i noticed that bill's visual style changed once he learned 3d with 'here comes the sun'. the main differences are: • less color flashes and other drug-like effects • more dream-like smoothness but the sounds and music sound the same style as before. way earlier, when he started putting his media on youtube and not just his website, that's a much bigger change: his music became much less predictable (much better), and he does them as music videos rather than just the music itself
Omg this is such a good jam, like the fucking whole theme of 2:10 has me vibing so harddddd SO GOOD and the style has the perfect cohesion between 2d and 3d its insane
It really never ceases to amaze me how busy your music is without ever becoming dissonant or too much. Seriously, like, I know "Musical Genius" gets thrown around a lot... But you? You're the real deal.
I can't help but feel that a lot of the songs on this channel speak (whether intentionally or otherwise) to a young generation's wilfulness for positivity and love for the simplicities and beauty in life, in the face of an oppressive and hateful society with diminishing prospects for the future. Laughing amongst ourselves in the face of the dark because what else can we do. I have so much appreciation to Bill Wurtz for what they do

I can’t really describe it. But there’s something comforting about your videos and aesthetic. I just wanted to let you know that in some stressful moments I had in the past, your videos were really a great stress reliever! Keep it up you awesome human being!
This made complete sense to me. Honestly my personal blends of mental/emotional issues and side effects made this really relatable. It was reassuring to hear that in spite of where I've been and things I can't recall that the story turns out good. I don't have to pave the way. I can come back another time.
I just want to note that I'm really fond of the musical direction for this video and I think it shows massive improvement over your earlier work. The "pave the way" chorus at 1:24 highlights just how beneficial a little bit of structure can benefit the verse (in this case, rhyming). Elevate it to poetry, even! The verse and the song as a total carry stronger themes, are more cogent, and as a result are much more enjoyable. I also noticed more pronounced motifs in the score and that's excellent for the same exact reasons! Point is, Wurtz, you're becoming a better musician. Keep it up my man! :DD
I know its been two years (about one since they stopped posting vids) i still come back and i still love this channel, i appreciate every video that has gone up
Wow the chorus at 01:23 was so amazing , same for the moment later when the same notes are used, it got me going wild in my head. Really cool music Plus the lyrics hit hard love it
I get what you mean, i think it's about the forgetting aspect, like sometimes you feel unfamiliar with all that you've done, even though they've definitely happened, and things feel so new all the time, that it freaks you out a bit to how you're able to keep on doing what you like doing - but it's all happened, it's just something that's doesn't naturally come to you well because of all the adhd shit
2:51 the most happy and catchy goodness 3:08 my brain is melting and this song is changing the ways I listen to music in general Bill, you have a gift that is nearly incomprehensible to me. Please never stop!

I don't think bill wurtz will stop making art; but if he does, that's okay too.
I've just arrived in Japan for the first time in my life for a whole academic semester. I wake up for the first time in the country, and this is the song I find.
Thank you, Bill.

1:24 dude this melody has been stuck in my head since i was a kid and finally hearing it in a song itches my brain so well
Have you listened to sway its kinda similar sort of
i have not had such melody stuck in my head but it DOES sound incredibly satisfying
Weird, same.
I feel like I've heard this melody before.
god im still looking
I always listen to music on Spotify so this is the first Bill Wurtz music video I've watched and OH MY GOSH
same
you've got a lot of catching up to do then, the video aspect is like half the audio
you might also wanna check out some of his strange not-music stuff, like "the history of the entire world, i guess" if you haven't yet
oh, and there's also his website linked in the description that has a bunch of stuff, like an anonymous QnA thing and a place where you submit stuff that Bill turns into anagrams, it's pretty cool
@fast boi yeah I've seen his other stuff lol just always listened to his music on Spotify so I could do other stuff while it was running in the background
Same
Oh bud, you've been missing out! Watch them all!
1:47 This part with the guitar riff is sooo heavenly 😭
1:23 is just beautiful. Wish it were long enough that I could just jam to that. Lyrics are great too
yea i like it so much

love that part. lately he seems to put a poppy rhyme and melody near the middle. bill's version of the hook.
He has to make a vr version of one of his vids cuz it will be the most life changing trip ever
That’s probably why he’s been gone for six months.
These beats always come back and hit me like I misused a boomerang again

This a fucking masterpiece, you make masterpieces, you're a really good artist
bill has been describing my life for the past 5 years in the most weird ways, but its so comforting.
yes
Bill Wurtz is my number one comfort artist. Anytime I get overwhelmed or anxious or I have an anxiety attack, I just turn on his music and I’m good again. Love this new bop, thank you man! :)
3:10 this visual concept hit me really deep for some reason

I didn't think I was a fan of abstract art until I found this channel, you've changed me bill
bill is one of those people who can appear out of thin air and never get questioned about it.
and never dissapoint
1:25 this part slaps so hard i got it syck in my head even though i hadn't heard it in like a few months
Doesn't it remind you another song with that exact melody?

you’ve changed my life forever bill wurtz, I don’t think you can understand how much of your art I’ve paved into my personality. I’ll continue getting better and growing. Thank you.
Hell yeah, that makes two of us then

This song changed my life. It feels so depressing yet revitalizing. I feel so good about myself right now. But so .. lost. It’s hard to explain.
it has been out for two frick frackin days

Do you change your life after watching a kfc commercial?
@@theblueelixir8740 😭😭 obviously it didn’t fucking change my life. but i admit it made realize a lot about my self and what the hell i want to do with my life. so pretty close 🤯
I feel like he just animates using lucid dreams and just recreates his lucid creations in real life.
Ah yes. Bill coming back with another cheery song about fears, anxieties and many other sad themes.

Charles Cornell is gonna need like 45 minutes to break these four seconds down

@@-chirpchirp-Charles Cornell is a musician who has analyzed bill wurtz songs and picked apart how awesome they are, often spending many minutes on a few seconds of music.
@@-ADOI- yeah i searched him up since then he’s pretty interesting
I don't know how you manage to make your music simultaneously make no sense and be the most relatable thing I've ever heard. As a student in their last year of High School before moving across the country this song gave me the feels
Ahhh me! Not moving across the country but to another state but yeah graduating then moving out as well. Exactly describing my thoughts about this song rn
when watching older bill wurtz videos, i noticed that bill's visual style changed once he learned 3d with 'here comes the sun'.
the main differences are:
• less color flashes and other drug-like effects
• more dream-like smoothness
but the sounds and music sound the same style as before.
way earlier, when he started putting his media on youtube and not just his website, that's a much bigger change:
his music became much less predictable (much better), and he does them as music videos rather than just the music itself
On the most unexpected moments, bill wurtz always come back, this is just awesome.
When the world needed him most he returned
@Don't read profile photo and then the bots have to fucking ruin it
Not bragging, but I have the 2nd comment
he only left during 2020. all these song titles mean nothing
Yea
I have so much appreciation to Bill Wurtz for what they do
This man just animates those weird dreams we all have that mean so little yet so much.
I swear this dudes aesthetic is beyond me.
It's an impressive ability, randomly show up out of nowhere with another absolute banger
I’m going through one of the hardest times of my life right now and this man makes it feel like I won the lottery
Lowkey that's kind of incredible, that's gotta be one of the hugest compliments you could give to an artist.
And best of luck with whatever this time is bringing you though.
I hope you're doing better.
Keep your head up, Charles! Bill's there for you.

I can’t really describe it. But there’s something comforting about your videos and aesthetic. I just wanted to let you know that in some stressful moments I had in the past, your videos were really a great stress reliever! Keep it up you awesome human being!
Bill Wurtz is a magical being. No matter how long they're gone we will always be here to support when the next gold nugget drops.
One day there will be art history lectures, and right after talking about Salvador Dali and Phillip Glass, they'll be talking about Bill Wurtz.
This music always manages to be both completely familiar and utterly unpredictable at the same time.
This made complete sense to me. Honestly my personal blends of mental/emotional issues and side effects made this really relatable. It was reassuring to hear that in spite of where I've been and things I can't recall that the story turns out good. I don't have to pave the way. I can come back another time.

2:20 I was not expecting to hear a spoken version of a thought I have daily in a bill wurtz song
:DD

I don't know why but this song perfectly describes ADHD
I get what you mean, i think it's about the forgetting aspect, like sometimes you feel unfamiliar with all that you've done, even though they've definitely happened, and things feel so new all the time, that it freaks you out a bit to how you're able to keep on doing what you like doing - but it's all happened, it's just something that's doesn't naturally come to you well because of all the adhd shit
I feel represented and seen and appreciated bc of Bill Wurtz
the part at 1:07-1:24 might be my favorite part of this song, it's just so soothing and comforting to me
