We then get into headlines with Mikayla Nogueira not addressing her makeup scandal at all, Taylor Lewan potentially being Jeffree Star's NFL boo, Logan Paul and KSI's photoshopped ad, Dillon Danis' NFT scam, Mr. Beast curing 1000 people of blindness and catching heat for it, Twitch streamer Atrioc getting caught watching deep fake porn of other streamers he is friends with, Drake saying artists should get bonuses for Spotify streams, Tom Brady's thirst traps, Dishwasher steak, and the ongoing CHEER drama.

dave not understanding how insane it is to have a deep fake porn made of someone is honestly so ignorant. just because you have that mindset of “well i know it’s not me” does not mean everyone else will. these women were his coworkers and one of his close friends girlfriend. these are real people with feelings that he was physically around. being sexualized without your consent is predatory. then, having people spread these photos and videos out of you for their families, friends, and the entire internet see and be unaware of if they’re real or not. not to mention the body dysmorphia these women have been saying they are experiencing due to constantly being messaged and tagged with these photos and videos. and a fantasy in your head compared to solid film of your likeness is not at all close to the same in severity. CONSENT IS CONSENT! IF A PERSON DOES NOT WANT IT, THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS

@@caseysimon2098 i love dave, bff’s is literally my favorite podcast so it’s no hate to him, i said his reasoning was ignorant. yes he did say he was playing devils advocate, but when playing devils advocate that’s exactly what you’re doing is playing into the other sides reasoning. in certain conflicts yes you can play devils advocate but in this case there is ethical reasoning. consent is consent.

the deep fake porn takes are rough. he was watching videos of his "friends" without their consent and knowledge, and a whole list of these streamers came out who are on these sites without their consent or benefit. It's disgusting and there's no "devils advocate' position to play.
100% i dont think that controversy was explained properly like the women these fakes were made of include his best friends girlfriend. Also female streamers already face so many safety issues and harassment. Also good deep fakes can take away their personal choice to work or not work in the s industry its just so wrong

Just to give some context: the deepfake porn site is behind a paywall, so this guy had to pay and the people running the site are making money off of the streamers likeness. The owner of the site took it down. A lot of these streamer deal with this harassment daily and then this incident made so many more people visit and pay for this site. I get Daves point but its disgusting regardless.

Dave's ai take was really weird. at the end of the day, porn is something a lot of women do not want to be associated with not only because of their reputation but because of the danger it might put them in. imagining something versus posting a very realistic video for tons of people to see are two very different things, not everyone who sees those clips will know its fake and the person in it will be taunted for it. the most important thing is it takes away consent. those girls did not consent to being in porn, if you imagine that, keep it to yourself. its like if you went up to a random person in the grocery store and told them you were thinking of them in that way. just because its not real doesn't mean you're not harassing them and taking away their consent.
