The reason Spike is so unskilled is not only because Curveball exists, but also because it’s just his only viable Star Power. Fertilize makes you play Spike in a way he really isn’t supposed to, and thus if you wanna play him as is you gotta go no-skill…
I will get cooked for this comment but I think that Kit requires skill outside of showdown. SnakeThug mentioned that the star power would be too op, but in 3v3 it doesn’t do anything. Ofc in 3v3 you can’t die while sitting on a mate, but if they rush (like jacky for example), you will need the timing to jump off or else you will die. Also with the Box gadget (which has no speed buff and only lasts 3 seconds) you can take out some squishy backrow brawlers in right timings. Since the difficulties of edgar also appear when playing Kit in 3v3s, I would personally rank Edgar higher than Kit. Also for Kit in 3v3 you need a good sense of decision making, when to support and when to engage or when to recover. Imma just say that Kit is (only in 3v3) harder to play good than some might think and since SnakeThug is a showdown player, he might not notice that as well? Idk
I use tick a lot and I honestly think it’ takes decent skill. You need to master the attack pattern aswell as when to use your super well. I guess most people pefer the gadget that explodes you but with the 6 shot one you have to read your opponents perfectly to get 2-3 shots on them. I also use cordelious which u said was a somewhat high skill brawler in your ranking video and I find tick to be a similar skill.
As a griff main, it takes a lot of skills to win with this character in high tiers I can’t believe I made it to tier 25 with him but genuinely Griff is not easy to use against most drawlers. People say he does a lot of damage but he really only does when he’s close to you and if your distance is right then you can dodge most of his attacks because auto aim sucks with griff and you will be losing most of your shots using auto aim. Another thing is that his gadgets suck, the first one makes you shoot 25% more bullets which is almost useless because griff’s HP maximizes at 6.6-6.9k and it’s difficult to win a closeup duel in terms of dps against many brawlers due to how low your health is. His other gadget is the ability to release a piggy bank that explodes after a short delay and bro by the time you die that bomb will still take forever to detonate. Also he does not shoot fast. I know I said this already but it is very easy to miss your shots with griff in close range even if it seem like it would hit, like other brawlers, but not It will miss so you have to aim most of the time with this character. Another thing is that his super takes a bit to charge and it’s easy to miss unless the people are in that arrea. Although he does have a good star power but no hypercharge :(.
I think only the low trophy players are crying about Kits, Edgars and other stuff but there are so many ways to counter this that there are no brawlers that requires no skill. It depends on you how good you are to play against this.
kit is a problem in high trophies even in solo showdown, but aside from that, he's counterable in 3v3, so you have a good point. Most players are kids who sit around 10000 trophies and complain about characters they don't understand, this game has a very young and irritable playerbase and that sadly reflects on the community, and we can't have polite and serious discussions.

Honestly i think spike is one of the hardest brawlers to play above like rank 28. You can dodge his spikes if you just stay still and get lucky, even if you dont you just took 1080 damage, no big deal at all. His other stats are terrible, almost any brawler in the game 2 shots you. You also need to calculate the spikes trajectory to be as efficient as possible, like where the spikes will fly when they explode or where they will go when it hits a wall. I think crow is a much easier brawler to play than spike.

I find it confusing by judging the skill needed for each brawlers by their “skill needed” and “skill cap”. The two criteria are different, as I find judging Spike’s curveball as no skill in “lower trophy range” and Edgar as “higher skill” compared to spike in “higher trophy range” confusing. Shouldn’t we judge a brawler’s skill level with the same trophy range or criteria?
no, because different players have different trophy ranges and their experience is different, usually when judging we think about every possible trophy range for a character, to be as fair as possible. Skill cap and Skill floor are a separate thing, whereas skill cap means the maximum amount of skill possible for a brawler, and skill floor the amount of skill required to play them at basic, competent level. It doesn't have much to do with trophy range. There is no perfect science about such conversations in video games, we can only compare characters to one another and base our thoughts on that, and I think Snakethug picked the most common trophy range for each brawler (low trophy for Spike and Edgar, high for Meg or something) while keeping the other ranges in mind. I disagree with some of the placements, but I hope I explained well enough.

Honestly i think spike is one of the hardest brawlers to play above like rank 28.
You can dodge his spikes if you just stay still and get lucky, even if you dont you just took 1080 damage, no big deal at all.
His other stats are terrible, almost any brawler in the game 2 shots you.
You also need to calculate the spikes trajectory to be as efficient as possible, like where the spikes will fly when they explode or where they will go when it hits a wall.
I think crow is a much easier brawler to play than spike.

0:27 well i wouldn't agree. I have friend that is a Tick main, and oh my this guy sometimes can 1v2 or even 1v3 in knockout even against edgars. He can insanely combo attack with gadget or super, or both, and dang looking at how he plays i wouldn't say Tick is a no skill brawler.
As tick main i can say it’s not easy to deal with close range brawlers when you have no super (i use the also more mines gadget most the time ) it requires so much skills and also not panic especially when you playing ranked 30 and above
And when and where u use you attack is very important and being annoying is the main key to be pro tick because you make them lose interest in the game and decide to fight you and most the time they just lose

@@Slimer999 you need to aim his gadget on high trophies actually, also you need to be able to do the Dynajump to trick enemies and in some cases, escape from Kit's, Edgar's super. Also you should predict where your enemies are gonna go that's also a skill.

I find it confusing by judging the skill needed for each brawlers by their “skill needed” and “skill cap”. The two criteria are different, as I find judging Spike’s curveball as no skill in “lower trophy range” and Edgar as “higher skill” compared to spike in “higher trophy range” confusing. Shouldn’t we judge a brawler’s skill level with the same trophy range or criteria?
no, because different players have different trophy ranges and their experience is different, usually when judging we think about every possible trophy range for a character, to be as fair as possible. Skill cap and Skill floor are a separate thing, whereas skill cap means the maximum amount of skill possible for a brawler, and skill floor the amount of skill required to play them at basic, competent level. It doesn't have much to do with trophy range. There is no perfect science about such conversations in video games, we can only compare characters to one another and base our thoughts on that, and I think Snakethug picked the most common trophy range for each brawler (low trophy for Spike and Edgar, high for Meg or something) while keeping the other ranges in mind. I disagree with some of the placements, but I hope I explained well enough.
