This time on Dirtnation we head back to one of our favorite trails in big bear to train beginners at Gold Mountain. Gold Mountain is a fun one with a few challenging obstacles making for the perfect trail to trail to train beginners to Rock Crawling.

I’m interested on joining sometime see if it’s possible I usually go trails on Pioneertown to big bear on burns canyon but always been wanting to actually get familiar with other trails on big bear I have a Jeep commander 5.7 so been wanting put it to the test I’m also doing TH-cam videos on big bear 🐻 I just been waiting for a good season and snow

What a great video, an even greater event. Huge respect to you and your team for putting together educational runs. Especially in a time when there’s so many new drivers. I’ve done sections of this area and my first GEN Sequoia. But as I often go alone that gatekeeper as well as some of the other hard line or unavoidable obstacles, I’ve left alone. I’ll keep my eyes out for future clinics from you and your group.

Last time I was at the trail 3rd gens on 33s could climb it, it’s been dug out quite a bit…plus they were willing to at least try

Why does the white tacoma with the soft top seem to bounce up and down in the front every time it goes over a bump?
Might be his coil overs being a little too soft but he’s also stick shift and new to driving on rocks so you tended to bounce up obstacles rather than crawl
@@66Duffman understood thanks. Seems like the bouncing would cause you to hit the rocks under you more.
@@evanhaglund7464 Also the 3rd gens come very high geared so you can't technically "crawl" with them, especially manual ones.

Goof stuff as always! Winchers and the F150 both looking good with the new setups. Some of the guys not running in 4 low? Some just looked like they were running a little too fast for being in low.
Thanks! As far as I know pretty much everybody was using 4low on the trail…stick shift with stock gears certainly makes it hard to guess tho
Yes and that was pretty cool ghost riding how do you like the new stick shift lot better than the automatic I hope you decide.

We're going out this weekend, we'll be on the rocks at Rausch Creek PA offroad park, not going insane but not testing this time either, and we got My Tacoma, a crazy Xterra and a brand new Slightly lifted Tacoma and XJ, might have to hit you up for some new Tacoma tips?

@@66Duffman Kid with the New Taco 🌮 is a little nervous, but I told him, Dustin has done just about everything with his tacoma, you'll be fine, and it's Brand New, like 2022 , so New and Old Tacomas on the rocks 🪨 this weekend, gonna be a great time, can't wait!
