Somewhat ‘late to the party’ here with commenting from when you originally published this video a few months ago, I know…not without its flaws, this is a Stonemaier Game that we do still like to play alot in our family! We currently own the retail version/edition, but I’m definitely looking to upgrade to the Collector’s version/edition components. …I’m a big fan of the books and super impressed by this game’s quality of card graphics/artwork (and, a lot/100+ of them, too)! In my opinion, the accuracy of the character depictions in the card graphics/artwork are on point and top notch; alot of attention to detail, for sure, and stayed true, I think, to the books (Fitchner’s bubble gum, etc). Thanks for the great video on this game! - Howie

I agree with your comments. Gave this game a try (regular version) and was very surprise how much we enjoyed it (2 player) and solo. The solo mode is very easy to manage and like the different levels (using different values for point scoring). I had the same thing when playing solo at normal level (done prior to game end). When I played the hard solo level requiring addiition points and card combos that pretty much went away for me.

You should try playing some of these games in tabletop simulator if you need people to play with, it’s not perfect but once you get into the groove of the board game you’re playing it works well.

@The Discriminating Gamer It's a different experience for everyone. There are lots of people who log in daily and play secret hitler or codenames for hours while watching TV. Others play significantly scripted versions of heavy games to handle all the bookkeeping. I had someone teach me Pax Transhumanity at 2AM when I was playing TTS in a VR headset. It was like I was confused in real life!
It's cool that you can do things like load in a PDF of a better rules explanation or more player aids or whatever. The flexibility can be confusing at first but I always just started with simply picking pieces up and moving them around and learned the rest over time.

I think I'll stick with Fantasy Realms. I like the shorter game format. This looks too long for my taste.

Haven’t played Fantasy Realms. Heard that they’re similar, though.

@@TheDiscriminatingGamer I believe it was the inspiration for Red Rising. It has a great app for scoring, which makes it 100% more fun than it would be otherwise.
