  • Zuiderpark (Netherlands)
We used the travel apps to but tickets in advance.
    NS App and 9292 App
You can plan your journey (To - From) and the apps list the times, if they're direct etc)
You can buy the tickets in the app and they are valid for two hours from the time you choose.
When you get on a tram you scan your barcode, some have barcode scanners facing you and some are downwards facing under the device. If you get on at the front, the ticket scanner is next to the driver.
If you go by train, you have to scan your barcode to get into the station and out of the station.
You can buy ticket for multiple people and then just scan the barcodes one at a time.
When you buy tickets on the app it asks for the first name and surname for each traveller and also an email address for the one ticket receipt.
From Den Haag station we took the number 9 tram to Zuiderpark. I was going to jog from the station, but it was so easy to use the tram.
The tram platform is just out side the station.
It worth noting that the app's tell you which platform and which direct the tram is heading(Destination)
Also on the platforms are plenty of digital displays that tell you when the next tram is coming and what number tram it is.

When we go off the tram, you can see the Zuiderpark sportscampus.
It 's probably 200m to the start.
There are toilets in the building and they were very clean when we were there.
As you walk from the tram to the sportscampus, go on the left hand side of it. This is where the entrance is also where the team tend to be before the start.
This is also where the finish is.
We left bags by the finish as did lots of other parkrunners.
The first timers welcome and briefing is done here before walking to the start.
The start is only 50m away.
The briefing was done in English and Dutch.
You hen walk to the start which is 50m down the central path.
The course is two laps clockwise and as you finish the second lap you turn right onto the central path for the final 50m.
There were marshals on the course, but it really is a case of follow the wide path around the park.
Watch out for other users in the park. Especially cyclists.
Scooter can also use the paths in the park.
We were asked to keep to the right as we ran around the park.
After the parkrun we went to the café in the park. (Park Cours)
    To get to the Cafe,
Follow the central path that you finish on and in the same direction that you finish until you get to the big wide path that you ran around.
When you get to the path, turn right and the Café is around 50m on your left.
When we were there, the parkrun team and lots of parkrunners all went to the Café.

@@runparkrunwithme That would be nice. I am banking on good/acceptable weather as I’m planning to fly myself there in a light aircraft!
