I just got back into flying after a long layoff. The 182 is a bigger step up from the 172 than you'd think, you feel it in the flight controls at rest - it's a heavy beast! The 182 that I fly has electric trim, makes life a lot easier on approach as you slow down prior to flare. Your landings are great, my instructor insists that a perfect landing requires the stall warning horn to be blaring on touchdown, which is not easy in this airplane.
Hi Mark, Glad to see you in the 182. I haven't graduated yet to the complex controls. I enjoy watching your video's so much knowing that we got our license about the same time and that we are close to the same age. Keep them coming. Hopefully some day I can get some camera gear and shoot some video's from the Piper Cherokee. I do have some video's on my TH-cam page (Timothy Riggs). Have a great day!
Hi Tim, hope you enjoy it as much as me. The complex controls were an issue for my tiny brain power, but hopefully next time will be better (after a lot of reviewing the video!). I'll have a look at your videos too.
G'day Luke. Thanks. I just plug the aircraft audio into the GoPros with home made cables. The modification is to add a 10K resistor inline and a 1K resistor across active and ground.
G'day Mark Merry Christmas mate I like your instructor [talented bloke very calm fixed wind and rotary]. Mark well done everything happens very quickly in a C182 and heavy to land. Mate you did very very well! Over a beer love to share experiences mate. Keep up the video's please as they are very much appreciated. wtrofOz
Great to hear from you mate. Agree about Allen - he's a good bloke and excellent instructor - both rotary and fixed wing. He's been very kind and helpful. The 182 is a beast and a beauty. Whenever you want that beer and a chat about flying is good for me..
Nice Videos as always Mark! Almost done with my RPL at YMMB , Can't wait to get into something like this!! Keep em coming.
Another great episode. Enjoy your Christmas

Love the videos Mark. May I ask what you are using to record audio?
