What I love about Iohan is that no matter what he encounters, he's happy and laughs about it! I've watched all the videos now, and I can't recall him getting upset or stressed even once. That's super amazing! Total admiration!
Even after 31 years of long distance bicycle touring I find your stories very inspirational! I can identify with a lot of the things you show but cannot imagine being in some of the situations you encounter! Keep up the great work!
How in the world this man does not have 10 million subscribers is beyond me. I think this series should be mandatory watch for everyone. It is so grounding.
Hi Iohan. Thank you very much for showing us (many Colombian too) the great beautiful of Colombia, specially those hidden tracks where is the real Colombia and its best side. Hugs and please return soon to live more Colombia.
Loved the video!! As for your question on Facebook...please don't change a thing. Your interaction with the people and animals is just right. So much beautiful scenery. My wife and I have watched all of your videos, many several times. I'm curious, what does video unlisted mean? Thanks for everything.
are u still planning to reach Argentina? It probably take you awhile. But here i'll be waiting. I'm thinking about doing something myself and doing a little research just found you. You don't need me or anybody to tell you this but, its very nice what you are doing. Requires a lot, but a lot, of courage just to plan it seriously. For some people LIFE IS an opportunity, you all are inspiring. I admire you. Best of luck. Regards from Argentina!
These are so fantastic! Thank you for putting time and energy to create these wonderful videos. Do you have any plans to sell these to channels like discovery or HBO? This must be seen by more people!!!
Where Colombia was green and 'quiet', I found the geography surprisingly magical! The filming was really good, in places. Thank-you for letting us look over your journeying shoulders, Iohan! I agree with all of the positive compliments posted here for you.
I need more than 25 minutes! Bring back the 1 hour episodes! Great video as always. Inspired by you, I'm just about to do some bikepacking in the Philippines.
sadly the computer cannot handle well anything over 45-50 minutes but also after the 30minute mark I get very distracted while editing and takes forever to finish! cheers!
Iohan Iohan Iohan! I love your videos (and your obvious love of animals)! You are an inspiration to all us travelers! Great videography. great music, just perfection. Its my birthday today..feels like a present finding a new video from you. Ive missed watching your epic journey. Thomas Stevens would be very proud! Thank you for sharing your journey. I hope the next episode is very soon to come :o)
This is a pretty cool journey you are on. If you have journal entries about your experiences bikepacking the world, you should write a boook about your journey and have it published
You are such a massive inspiration Iohan! I've watched your incredible accomplishments over the years and have lived vicariously through many of them. I find what you are doing just fine; do what you are inspired to do!
Hi Iohan. I do not know if anyone commented on the approaching of animals (dogs, horses, mules, etc). If I can make a suggestion, do not reach to them with your hand with your palm downward. To an animal, it thinks you are going to hit them. Try reaching for them with your hand with, at first, with your hand inverted and your thumb wrapped in your fingers (like an inverted fist). Your thumb is covered by your fingers, so that if the animal bites your hand your thumb and fingers are protected. If the animal sniffs and/or licks your inverted fist, slowly open your fingers up showing your palm. Then gently reach out to scratch the animal.
12:32 "The journey continues, scouring the Colombian back country in search of the best....potatooooo!!" That just did it for this video. Your ability to maintain your sense of humor even in the face of a life-threatening situation (well not the potato field, obviously) is utterly inspiring.
HEY!! I have been expecting this video for a while! I miss my home country. I'm glad I can watch the side of my country through your perspective. The same side I've always wanted to watch. O man. you made me cry.
hi Johan, hello from Austria. Your a great Filmmaker and the best biker! Your Feeling for animals ist sooo great. I wish you all good for your trips. Franz
An incredible trip on an amazing journey, Colombia is one of my favorite countries, though I have not seen it for 35 years. I never got to see it like this! Keep up the work brother, but please stay safe.
congratulations on a job well done. I've thuroughly enjoyed everyone of your videos many times. Twice I've gone for bike rides for 20 or 30 miles in temperatures below freezing, and both times have gotten frost bite on my toes, I don't know what your secret is but more power to you.
Another great video! I was missing them! Thanks for sharing it with us! I love the photography and narration on them! Keep up the good work! Take care!
10:22 - 10:36 Great takes sequence, little cow on first plane while you climb, beetle and kittens. Well the whole vid is great as usual. Best Roads Iohan!
You have one HUGE heart my friend. Even though it is obvious you survived to carry on your adventures, I still worried for you on those open 'big swell' waters in that little dingy.
Thanks for another great video, Iohan! Your videos are just fantastic and I love the music tracks you choose. I feel like I'm along for the ride while I sit in my cozy bed and watch you struggle through mud and poo :)). haha. Can't wait to see your next upload!
I'm so envious of you right now!...Never stop and become part of the system.....Keep moving & posting videos. Your taste in music is awesome btw. NEVER GIVE UP!
The fun for him is seeing what 90% of people never see . The city life is predictable and doesn't change much . This is what he enjoys being out in the countryside to see what life is like not being in largely populated areas. The hard going trail is just all part of it. ✌
When you are able to distance yourself from the cities, you are able to see more of God's creation. Thank's for taking the road less travelled!!! Such beautiful scenery that can't be shown any other way. Come see us in Virginia!
thank you iohan for let as to know our contry, steel living here u know more than as, dogs are the best frends, the music its a great seleccion, thinking in the area that make the videobetter

From Capurgana to nearby Medellin and no mention of any other pueblos and pueblitos in between , alot of miles covered between Capurgana to Antioquia nearby Medellin without mentioning one other populated pueblo , seems like alot of content is missing or not bothered on producing or alot of distance covered for so little video content and we are barely more than 8 minutes into the video . Colombia is where I live , After having lived in 7 other countries before Colombia, however to me this is my idea of paradise I will stay untiI the end of my days in South America , I wish there was more video content mentioned between Capurgana until nearby Medellin . Btw I Do love your videos !
He’s taking all these horse tracks. Horse hooves. Hoof prints. Mud. Rain. Thousands of tiny pools. Millions of mosquitoes. Iohan must be the kind of guy that just doesn’t get bitten by them. I don’t really know about Colombia or the neo tropics, but having done years worth of bike exploration in Indonesia, mosquitoes are unfortunately a real concern for some. Malaria runs rampant in certain parts and dengue in others. Having suffered through the latter, I can tell you it’s no joke. I’m so interested to learn how he copes with them out there.
Iohan come'on...? You were just starting to have fun in Colombia and you left us?? We will be here waiting for you to come back! Colombia is a cyclist country and you will find tons of friends! regards!! This is the land of Nairoman!

Hey Iohan, question about hiking in marshy areas: do you often get foot infections trudging through mud like that? Do you have any pro-tips for avoiding these kinds of infections?
What I love about Iohan is that no matter what he encounters, he's happy and laughs about it! I've watched all the videos now, and I can't recall him getting upset or stressed even once. That's super amazing! Total admiration!
Dude you're the best thing on two wheels, keep rolling!!
Even after 31 years of long distance bicycle touring I find your stories very inspirational! I can identify with a lot of the things you show but cannot imagine being in some of the situations you encounter! Keep up the great work!
I would love to know your story too
And I especially like your choice of the soundtrack, these songs are amazing!
yeah those i had stuck in my head for a while now, all copyrighted but youtube can play them with ads :)
Man, you sure know how to tell a story!
Watching his videos is very sad knowing that there will be no more videos made by him. Ride in peace amigo☹️
Con una sensibilidad especial. Tus videos desprenden una humanidad y una dulzura impresionante. Gracias por todo aquello que nos enseñas.
How in the world this man does not have 10 million subscribers is beyond me. I think this series should be mandatory watch for everyone. It is so grounding.
