Davis Warren is by far the best passing QB on this team, and it's not even close.
Everyone wants Orji because he's a big, strong, mobile guy but he can't pass yet. Tuttle is like a Hybrid between Orji and Warren, but the man is going into his 7th year for a reason; he's a jack of all trades and a master of none.

Clearly you haven't watched the last 3 seasons and seeing Michigan under Sherrone Moore assembled an RPO offense... It's the exact opposite, Tuttle or Warren takes us back not moves us forward.
This is precisely the reason why we have the conundrum we have right now that really isn't a conundrum.
If we were a drop-back system, then we wouldn't have bought in Jayden Davis or Alex Orji in the first place.

Alabama went through this last year. Jalen Milro and Orji are similair HS prospects and both are taken over for a major program after losing a first round QB. Bama had other more polished QB's but they stuck with Milroe through the ups and downs and that is how they beat Georgia down the stretch. I say hand the keys to Orji let him learn by fire and by the end of the year Michigan will be hard to beat.

Alex Orji is a beastly physical specimen and the most athletic stud on the team, BUT...I think he's too strong to be an accurate passer. Like Joe Milton. It's the same reason that Wilt Chamberlain & Shaq were abysmal at free throws: too much strength to be accurate.
A pillar of Michigan's recent success has been being very good at not turning the ball over. I fear that Orji will throw more interceptions than Cade & JJ. We don't have enough racehorse talent to compensate for an interception-prone QB to the point that we can win another conference title.
Just my opinion. I would be SO happy to be wrong.

The Davis Warren story is inspiring football fans on and off the field. I don't see how any sane human being can look at our spring game and be convinced Orji should start.
You can't talk about QBs in a vacuum, and when the discussion is about Alex Orji that is exactly what people do. Who are the players that he has naturally chemistry with? Who is the Robin to his Batman?
For JJ McCarthy it was Blake Corum. I could easily project Warren's play style combined with Donovan's skill set, and envision a new version of Kurt Warner and Marshall Faulk's greatest show on turf.

And people also need to stop looking at high school stats people do improve and who to say that his passing percentage could have been effect by receiver drops Also there no perfect throwing motion I use to hear people talk about JJ foot work and ball placement O he can't throw the deep pass. How many times did Michigan throw the deep pass? Every Qb is going to miss some passes and sometime receivers run the wrong routes that can cause interceptions. There’s no way Davis Warren wins this. It’s clear your bias for whatever reason. The fact that this is still a topic is comical and you guys are reaching for views. Davis made two passes one was against a walk on DB who isnt an FBS level athlete and will never sniff the field (respectfully) and the other Fred Moore had 50yac yards. We don’t get to see their practices so all we have is the spring game and he only threw the ball 8-9 times. Orji has clearly shown them enough the past two years to not go get a QB out of the portal. They’ve been grooming him like they did JJ his freshman year. So come week 2 vs Texas the moment isn’t too big for him cuz he played meaningful snaps on the way to a national championship. Tuttle is hot garbage water and he’s never flashed or showed anything that can help a team win or just flat out produce as a power 4 QB. Plus the lack of receiver talent can be negated by Orji’s legs Tuttle is bound to turn the ball over we have enough tape that backs this up.

What are the other options? One we know is 29yrs old and has thrown for just over 1k yards has 6tds and 6ints with a 59% completion rate and can’t stay healthy. The other is walk on who has gone 5/14 for 89 yards and an interception in garbage time against shitty teams over the last 4 years. Or AO who helped us win a natty with his legs and clearly showed he can throw the ball in the spring game. Also we saw one designed QB run for AO in the spring game.
