@6:42 dude from years of experience with header gaskets PROBLEMS buy two sets of Mr Gaskets collector gaskets, put two on each side and run Orange RVT on front and back side and the middle of the gaskets and clamp them in... I went 3 years on that setup on long tub headers on a small block Chevy running 600+ HP... If it's the heads leaking run the Orange RVT ON BOTH SIDES!!! it works man
My car has 3 bolt long tube header collectors and the collector someone has made at an exhaust shop, but it is a straight piece with a bubble in it, so it slips into the header, and the 3 bolt flange squeezes up to the header with no gasket. The bolts come loose sometimes, but it still doesn’t leak. It’s freaking awesome. Like there was only 2 bolts there when I first got the car and it wasn’t leaking. I think the pipe going into the headers collector needs to fit kinda tight.
That was my red 68 camaro when you mentioned nice cars getting driven with brake dust…ha, it’s my hooptie and have over 40k miles since I bought it in 2014. Definitely not babied and been on multiple other power tours. Like you said, route was nothing crazy but still fun event

Congrats on the degree. Spend some serious time in the engineering departments of the companies that support you so you can see differences from school to real life and keep stretching that engineering muscle even of you don’t do it for a living.

The stance of your truck reminds me of a baby walking around with a full droopy diaper. I think it is the rear tire being so far up in the fender. But the fender arches look different front to back. IDK just looks like the rear could be raised an inch or two to look right. But that's just me liking a little rake, whether it's done by taller tires in the rear or the rear of the truck being higher in the rear and not just level.
