Looking good in the NorfHazad neighborhood with 3 Pan Am C40-8's repainted and somewhat clean. Just kidding, do you ever see 3 clean UP locomotives in a row...never! Btw what lens do you most use, the 14-140mm?
Depends, I actually prefer the 12-60 because it's a bit sharper, autofocuses a bit better, and is a bit faster so it performs better in lower light. Obviously though if I'm going for a longer shot I'll use the 14-140.
Actually yes, I'm editing video as we speak, I have three new videos I'll be putting up in the next week or so. I've caught the modeling bug again which has been taking my time away from chasing trains a bit, but I've still been getting out there. I've just been lazy about editing. I got a shot this afternoon however which I'm pretty psyched about and will be uploading tonight.
Old GE's + Deferred maintenance. Pan Am carries on the Penn Central tradition. Two of these locomotives are smoking, the other one's already dead in tow. I happen to be a fan of lipstick on pigs, it's a nice juxtaposition.
Great catch.👍
Love the blue pan am paint scheme on their C40-8's. They still have a few more to go to get painted.
It's certainly more attractive than CSX with a line through it.
That's right! (Laughs)
Awesome catch with the triple blue c40-8 dude.👍💯💯🚂👍🚂
Thanks!
Nice, can't wait until they're all painted!
Good to see them keeping these classics alive!
More like running them until they die, but still better than the constant stream of gevo's.
@@NorfKhazad Amen to that!
At 1:35 into the clip You see the third engine 7635 belching out the exhaust. I think it looks great! More of this please.
When did Pan Am start adding LED headlights to those C40-8s???
Around the same time they started repainting them I believe. They've only done it to a couple of them so far.
@@NorfKhazad Ah i see, i guess it's pretty cool lol. I bet it'd blinding once they have it on bright🤣
I saw this train too! Awesome Video
Yeah definitely worth getting out for. Thanks!
Awesome video, Aaron! It was nice seeing you out for it, talking to you or not haha.
Likewise!
Exelente Video Ferroviario Con tres poderosas locomotoras Arrrastrando pesado tren y que lindos los paisajes que se Ven en el video 👍👊👍
that marks the end SD40s for pan am
Chrome Diesel Big mistake on Pan Ams part. Their SD40s easily compliment the GE power making them able to haul larger trains now.
Nice catch

Any new action coming, it's been about a month and a half?

Any word on any of the B40's being painted?
I believe they painted one a few months ago, but I'm not positive.
MEC 5936 is painted.
5936 & 5943 are painted

And 2 of the 3 already have oil barf all over the long hood. What do they use, some crappy grade of fuel?
