Satch is legendary ... he grew up listening to Ronnie Montrose, Rick Derringer, Nugent, Schenker and EVH like most of us Rock Guitar OG's from the 70's.

I remember when I was a kid in 1989 and my dad introduced me to Satch. I had just started playing guitar at the age of 6. I heard Surfing with the Alien which was released in 1986 and I was blown away. Joe just had a way of pulling you in even if you’re not a guitar player. Definitely would love to see more reactions to this and if I could recommend his best live show is in San Francisco. Cheers 🍻

Unfortunately I probably wont get to see him or Vai or any other of the greats like Eric Johnson, Robin Trower, etc. due to where I live in Mississippi. But I did see SRV in Memphis in 89.
When you see him live, he plays like this for 2 1/2 hours straight, absolutely amazing to see in person.
Saw him twice in Oslo in the 90's, an experience for sure:-)
