Using the sine function to find the missing length of the hypotenuse

- 👉 Learn how to find a missing side length of a right triangle. A right triangle is a triangle that has 90 degrees as one of its angles. The trigonometric identities of right triangles give us the relationship between the angles of a right triangle and the side lengths of the right triangle. These trigonometric identities, commonly called SOHCAHTOA, are: sin x = opposite / hypothenuse; cos x = adjacent / hypothenuse and tan x = opposite / adjacent. These identities enable us to find a missing side length of a right triangle given one of the side lengths and one of the other angles of the right triangle.

I guess it’s more fun how this guy saved my life for my exam TODAY like literally today is my first time to watch him and I understood even though it’s basic trig...I was so bad at it
lol fr though
I’m saved
IKR I might of actually took trig

Y’all ever know that feeling of relief when u need to figure something out and legit find a video for essentially the exact same question you’re trying to figure out
stuck with online classes during this whole covid thing. The teacher is alot more limited during teaching lessons, your videos are single handedly saving me during grade 12 math!
@Dr Dingo There’s different education systems some classes are thought later on

One of the best quotes i've ever heard.
if every math lesson started with this I would be sooooo motivated
Well, You've never heard any better quote
8 years later and this still helped me learned this in minutes rather than the week of lessons my teacher has been doing thank you👍🏼
Me watching this before the finals: 👀👄👀
Literally one of the best math channels on here😭
I just realized this was from 6 years ago. LOL. These kids all graduated now. Crazy how these methods always stay the same throughout the years

i remember when i had to apologize to my teacher when she called me dumb... then I made it clear and visible to her that i dont want to learn from her anymore.. so i just shut up every math subject.. searched her current lesson on youtube and just sit back and relax while she's there on the board yappin.. and everytime we have quizzes, shes always surprised how im able to solve... then she ended up failing me because she was intimidated by it..
fuck her tell the school man
Yeah tell the school... she shouldn’t be allowed to teach
zoomers rise up
she just mad she cant teach right😭
These short, easy to understand videos on specific things really help me understand how to do the problem. I can easily search up what homework problem I am having trouble with and watch one of these. These are very straight to the point and you deserve some kind of reward!!!
Brian, you are a brilliant teacher. Thank you! You've become my go-to channel when I'm studying. You're helping so many students during these difficult lockdown times.
Thank you. I'm taking intensive two week courses every six months for the electrical trade and the classes are super fast paced. We had two hours to try to learn sine cosine tangent and then a test tomorrow! I'm really thankful for your videos, plus my instructor does not simplify this like you do. Please keep uploading your videos
I am going to a new school this year and I was put in a higher math class in which I had to learn sine, cosine, and tangent. Your videos have been helping me soo much! I really appreciate your hard work.
Im stuck at home for the Quarantine and my math teacher in high school gave me work on this and we definitely did not learn this thanks for teaching me how my man. You saved me great job.
ive got my final coming up, forgot everything, learned it again, thanks for the help!
After going back to school at 45yrs old and doing it online, this guy’s vids have been a lifesaver. I’m still bad at algebra and trig but these vids have helped me be slightly not as bad anymore
I was literally on the verge of banging my head against my keyboard i cant thank you enough
omg same, i have a unit test friday and was soo stuck! thanks to the vidoe
this man will single-handedly carry e through my math class this year
A teacher who uses a method that is accurate and easy for students to understand. It is very useful to use such methods because in this video it is not easy to explain everything, sometimes we can not understand everything. But I admire this teacher for teaching. He was able to explain everything to us. I was given this topic today. But I couldn’t understand a bit, especially finding the sides. And now I understand everything 100 percent. Thanks for such a video lesson!!!
This video is absolutely amazing. You explain the concept in such a clear and understandable way. THANK YOU!!!!
Man, you are an absolute lifesaver! I am studying mechanical engineering and my tutor has some "different" ways of teaching, she has a tone of knowledge don't get me wrong but sometimes her way of explaining makes thing unnecessarily difficult.
Anyway i want to say thank you very much for making this easier to understand you sir are a legend in my mind!!!!!
I have this subject when I was in highschool, I wish my teacher explained trigonometry as easy as this.
I am blown away at how easy this is when it’s explained properly
Im a person that needs every single step written out and explained. thank you for doing this! really helpful!
I love this man, he even does better than my teacher please give him a raise
brian you are the only thing that has gotten me through my math classes this pandemic thank you

Idk if this helps but whenever your trying to figure out what you need (make sure the denominator is the one your looking for!) because this confused me later on in phisics
Thank you so much!!!!! you explained it to where it became easy!
Thanks so much, I didn't know what my teacher was on about. So much clearer!
It's amazing how well you explain things.
Finally a normal people who explained it correctly and precised thanks!
I had 5 lessons and couldn't get it but with your video (5ms) i got it instantly.Thank you so much for what you do!
Thanks Brian! You helped this old man figure out the length of 3 legs of a wooden stool project I am working on based upon the desired height. I am sure your students are benefiting greatly from your teaching skills. Calling on the students by name is very effective too. I am sure you have noticed that it helps keep them engaged and feel important enough to participate. We need more teachers like you to teach the next generation of programmers, engineers, builders, entrepreneurs, architects, makers, biochemists, energy scientists, space workers and all other STEM related occupations. Even old and soon to be retired woodworkers like me. This was a great refresher course too.
You talk to much
