stuck with online classes during this whole covid thing. The teacher is alot more limited during teaching lessons, your videos are single handedly saving me during grade 12 math!
Thanks Brian! You helped this old man figure out the length of 3 legs of a wooden stool project I am working on based upon the desired height. I am sure your students are benefiting greatly from your teaching skills. Calling on the students by name is very effective too. I am sure you have noticed that it helps keep them engaged and feel important enough to participate. We need more teachers like you to teach the next generation of programmers, engineers, builders, entrepreneurs, architects, makers, biochemists, energy scientists, space workers and all other STEM related occupations. Even old and soon to be retired woodworkers like me. This was a great refresher course too.
he keeps it simple..very simple.hours and hours to input that in your calculator..1980 1990 shooling couldent even teach simple math at all..thank you from a canadian.
A teacher who uses a method that is accurate and easy for students to understand. It is very useful to use such methods because in this video it is not easy to explain everything, sometimes we can not understand everything. But I admire this teacher for teaching. He was able to explain everything to us. I was given this topic today. But I couldn’t understand a bit, especially finding the sides. And now I understand everything 100 percent. Thanks for such a video lesson!!!
Brian, you are a brilliant teacher. Thank you! You've become my go-to channel when I'm studying. You're helping so many students during these difficult lockdown times.
These short, easy to understand videos on specific things really help me understand how to do the problem. I can easily search up what homework problem I am having trouble with and watch one of these. These are very straight to the point and you deserve some kind of reward!!!
Man, you are an absolute lifesaver! I am studying mechanical engineering and my tutor has some "different" ways of teaching, she has a tone of knowledge don't get me wrong but sometimes her way of explaining makes thing unnecessarily difficult. Anyway i want to say thank you very much for making this easier to understand you sir are a legend in my mind!!!!!
After going back to school at 45yrs old and doing it online, this guy’s vids have been a lifesaver. I’m still bad at algebra and trig but these vids have helped me be slightly not as bad anymore
I'm taking an online Technical Mathematics course and we get to these kinds of problems and the book doesn't even elaborate how to solve these. I watched this video and was able to understand within 5 minutes. Thank you!
I am going to a new school this year and I was put in a higher math class in which I had to learn sine, cosine, and tangent. Your videos have been helping me soo much! I really appreciate your hard work.
Im stuck at home for the Quarantine and my math teacher in high school gave me work on this and we definitely did not learn this thanks for teaching me how my man. You saved me great job.
Thank you. I'm taking intensive two week courses every six months for the electrical trade and the classes are super fast paced. We had two hours to try to learn sine cosine tangent and then a test tomorrow! I'm really thankful for your videos, plus my instructor does not simplify this like you do. Please keep uploading your videos
i remember when i had to apologize to my teacher when she called me dumb... then I made it clear and visible to her that i dont want to learn from her anymore.. so i just shut up every math subject.. searched her current lesson on youtube and just sit back and relax while she's there on the board yappin.. and everytime we have quizzes, shes always surprised how im able to solve... then she ended up failing me because she was intimidated by it..
here is a small tip to make this easier and faster, so instead of doing all the algebra at 3:40 you can just cross multiply sin36=12/x so it becomes x=12/sin36 straight away that's how my teacher taught us and I kinda find it a bit easier than having to do all that algebra. thnx tho this vid was actually very helpful cause I needed to shake my memory before the test lol
Idk if this helps but whenever your trying to figure out what you need (make sure the denominator is the one your looking for!) because this confused me later on in phisics
I use to watch this guys videos to get by in high school with no expectation of ever using it in the real world and now 8 years later I’m watching the same videos for my job lol
Lol I just searched up help for a problem and got exactly what I needed. I searched a second problem and got the exact same channel. Thank you dude you helped me a lot.
I just got a new TI-84 calculator. Monstrous computing power. But it came up with a BIG difference in answer to the problem on the board. Finally one sentence you said at the 3:57 mark got through to my brain - "Make sure our calculators are in degrees mode". Mine wasn't. Such an expensive calculator should know what mode I want to be in. So, I had to MANUALLY change over from Radians to Degrees. Your answer is correct. Thought you'd like to know.
Holy hell I can actually understand how to do this. My teacher just uses lessons she made in like 2013 and forces us to do homework on our online textbook that is upsetting vague when telling you how you got a question wrong. Thank you for making this easier to understand!
This is such a good explanation, but the way I learned it wasn't to multiply by x then divide by sin63° but just to cross multiply: sin63 °= 12/x sin63°/1 = 12/x 12*1/sin63° 12/sin63°
Thanks!
thank you so much Kevin!!

This is such a good explanation, but the way I learned it wasn't to multiply by x then divide by sin63° but just to cross multiply:
sin63 °= 12/x
sin63°/1 = 12/x
12*1/sin63°
12/sin63°
Thanks helped me in 3 minutes then my teacher did in an hour.😀

Thanks so much, I didn't know what my teacher was on about. So much clearer!
