So I've gotten to 6:31 and the installer says "Pending: Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86)" I've installed an checked that I have it, but It won't work beyond that point. anyone have a fix for this?
Edit: I just installed qcma and that worked out.

i can't even install CMA, requires a 2008 C++, and nothing works (if my windows 7 hadn't croaked, i'd be using that one; presently using a windows 10; another device i can't charge via USB is my e-reader) Yup 6:24, "download CMA, "an error has occurred", basically win10 figures "not that device, not today"

I got the device working couple months back.....was even on win 10.....I played the original Ratchet and Clank yesterday (downloaded type)

my problem was that it wasn't on the same network and I changed to the 5GZ and it recognized my vita after hours of trying .
Hey man, do you need to be signed into a PSN account on your vita to connect to your PC via content manager?

Not sure if it had anything to do with it but after this fix I was able to connect with content manager to WiFi and to USB. This was helpful tho thank you.
6:35 after that part...My pc says it requires Microsoft visual C++ 2008 version , when I click install...there shows an error in installation of this program.

Content Manager Assistant wont install for me because it can download the microsoft Visual C++ 2008 sp1 Redistributable package. i already installed it manually but the app keeps trying to downlead it.

@@juliangalicia6316 I'm using ftp. But it's annoying .it takes longer to transfer files. There's a way around all that if you have a psp. Take your SD card from your vita and put it in the psp and connect it to your pc. It reads the SD card

help, when i am installing the content manager in my laptop it requires me to install the MS C++ 2008 SP1 package and when i click install it dont install.

Just wanted to throw out there that I followed the video and ran into error messages I couldn't bypass when downloading the cma
However the first time I tried to connect via wifi worked flawlessly

PS Vita error code c4-13901-4 when connect USB to PC/ Android Box
As the title mentioned, I ain't got any data transfer via USB (the cable) because the PC not even recognize (no sound or notification at all) when plugged in. Whether I was using Vitashell USB mode or Content Manager, it just the same. But the strangely my PS Vita was able to detect whether the USB is connected or not and the charging is ok.
My PS Vita is PCH-1000 with Henkaku-Enso FW 3.60, using SD2VITA 512GB San Disk Micro SD card mounted via YAMT Lite plugin. Also got Sony Memory Card 8GB.
I did:
1) Change different new USB cables (5 cables so far by various brands)
2) format the Sony Memory Card
3) Insert and remove the Sony Memory Card
4) reinstall Henkaku-Enso including Taihen
5) Shift between Storagemgr and YAMT Lite
6) Rebuild Database
7) Check the external side of charging port, seems ok, no bent pins.
EVERYTHING ELSE IS WORKING FINE INCLUDING FTP MODE

Man this is crazy, since I had 0 issues with it I was not aware that it could actually be this difficult.
It's surprising that there's so many issues for people trying to use the content manager.
Umm I don't know why but my laptop doesn't work when downloading CMA thingy but my other computer works?

I went on windows defender firewall - allow an app through windows firewall I didn't see content manager assistant in the box

If I connect Vita>PC via WiFi - will the Vita try to update my firmware (I'm currently on 3.63)?

hey i was just trying to download the content manager on my laptop but i coudnt install the program on my pc it kept giving me an error when downloading idk wtf :/

What I've to do when I can't read the prompted passcode, because it's just cutted off on the the top in the presented window? The screened window doesn't present the whole code, just the top of the digits... 🙄
How do I even get the content manager on windows 11? I'm new to this stuff and trying to modify my vita but don't want any viruses or anything like that
Love the videos man, before you my vita went unused, now I play a ton of retros whenever i travel/have a break, (gba mostly i'll admit)
I do have an issue however in that both my vitas do not have a uma0 folder, one of which is a PHAT model i recently bought,
I did previously have sd2vita on my slim but then formatted everything so i could just clean stuff up while i install homebrew and the like on both.
any help/advice would be welcome i cant find anything on this online, not having this folder has meant i cant follow many tutorials, and dont want to use other folders just in case it bricks the system :P
Install the latest version of Autoplugins II (v1.09 currently). It has an option to install the SD2Vita plugin + configure your drive directories. Copy your 'data' directory files from your current storage directory to your prepared SD micro card, before installing the SD2Vita plugin to make a smooth transition. Hope this helps.
The uma0 folder is just in case you want to use your memory card and the sd2vita at the same time. You can just use sd2vita and never use the memory card. My phat vita only have the sd 2 vita.

@@adamkhedim6181 For me I eventually got it working with a new cable, but that was after the jailbreak. For now make sure your vita and computer are on the same network and the qcma is working on the computer, I guess

the problem is not the cable - its your computer - you have to restart your computer - you computer needs to upgrade as well - as the ps vita does - once you restart your computer then it can work again
hey robles, i have a dilemma with my ps vita. the right analog stick wont function at all. other than that, the vita is in great condition. what should i do to fix it?
If putting a little alcohol on a q-tip and rubbing it under the actual stick then rotating the stick doesn't do it. It means it's broken and the vita will basically have to be used for PSP stuff only. Have had a few through the years and thst was am issue.

It is a problem that happen. and it come from you virus program. 1. turn off virusprogram . 2. install vcredist_x86 3. install CMASetup. The problem is when windows 10 not allow you to install 2008 sp1 redistributable package x64. This come from your firewall and antivirus software. Turn it off during installing these things and all be ok.
