I have to say, compared to the other levels this one is so far my favorite because its not just the story of the movie, a continuation. It also feels like the Sora, Donold, and Goofy aren't as shoehorned in and the interactions feel better.
While I don’t entirely mind the levels where Sora and Friends venture in the story of the movies, I do agree that I love the levels that feel like continuations. Such examples being Halloween Town (in 1 and 2), Hundred Acre Wood (all 3 games), Space Paranoids (2); and of course The Toy Box, Monstropolis, and San Fransokyo in 3.
I can't be the only one who laughed my head off when Sulley and Mike threw Vanitas in a door and then they shredded it! That was a golden moment from this game

I never understood why Donald and Goofy were so adamant about Sora keeping the "order" when Mike and Sully clearly know, understand and even harness the ability to travel to different worlds.
The plot point to use Monstropolis to bring the unversed, and then eventually Vanitas back, was GENIUS. Every world in KH3 has an important role to play in the final battle.
Yeah Donald’s may have a bad temper but he pulls though for his friends in the ends and Goofy may not be the smartest guy ever but he’s so kind and protective. It makes total sense how much Micky and Sora care for them both.
I love how Sora, Donald and Goofy are talking about Unversed and the lost Keyblade wielders and all that while Mike and Sulley just look at them with no idea what they're talking about. It's a perfect summary of the series.
This feels like a sequel to monsters inc. If pixar would make a sequel using a story like this, I would watch it in theaters. It has a good story. This kingdom hearts 3 game is good because the stories fit in and are intresting featuring more adventures and action.
Monsters inc fits far too well within Kingdom Hearts lore. Randall’s return is perhaps one of the best the franchise has ever done regarding it directly connecting the Disney source material into Kingdom Hearts story. There may be others, but I was amazed seeing this and still do so every time I revisit it.

Playing through this whole world just had me grinning like an idiot. I was looking forward to it so much because Monsters Inc. is one of my favorite movies, and oh boy, did KH3 deliver! I didn't want it to end.

Now that Season 2 of _Monsters at Work_ came out I guess you could say that the _Kingdom Hearts III_ version of Monster’s Inc. story not only is it "non-canon" but is likely set in an alternate universe considering that Randall’s return in KH3 and _Monsters at Work_ are different from each other (KH3: Vanitas rescuing Randall; Monsters at Work: Johnny Rescuing Randall). It’s also similar to how _Big Hero 6: The Series_ continuity with the movie is a different version compared to KH3’s story of _Big Hero 6_ being set after the movie.

Even same can be said for _Big Hero 6: The Series_ and _KH3_ which although both of them are set after the movie they are in separate continuities.

I absolutely love how the Disney/Pixar characters actually try to confront the Kingdom Hearts antagonists . It's VERY satisfying to see them actually interact with each other so directly. I don't think they've done that before to this extent.

Man the Disney Worlds feel so alive in KH3 you can't deny the love that goes into the Series they put so much extra detail in and try to make everyone happy while still follow theire vision I have massive respect for the KH team that want to give us the most authentic magical experience possible I get that's a bit hit and miss sometimes but come on look at this it oozes with Love
Now that Season 2 of _Monsters at Work_ came out I guess you could say that the _Kingdom Hearts III_ version of Monster’s Inc. story not only is it "non-canon" but is likely set in an alternate universe considering that Randall’s return in KH3 and _Monsters at Work_ are different from each other (KH3: Vanitas rescuing Randall; Monsters at Work: Johnny Rescuing Randall).
It’s also similar to how _Big Hero 6: The Series_ continuity with the movie is a different version compared to KH3’s story of _Big Hero 6_ being set after the movie.
The serie could easily take place right after this.
But it's well known that kingdom hearts isn't canon to disney movies

@@redtutel Besides we currently had three different variations of Randall’s returning to Monstropolis, the first one being a comicstrip/comicbook where Randall and Sid (Toy Story) teamed up together.
So if anything both KH3’s story of Monsters Inc. and _Monsters at Work_ are set in different alternate universes/continuities, especially with how Randall returned. Even same can be said for _Big Hero 6: The Series_ and _KH3_ which although both of them are set after the movie they are in separate continuities.

I absolutely love how the Disney/Pixar characters actually try to confront the Kingdom Hearts antagonists . It's VERY satisfying to see them actually interact with each other so directly. I don't think they've done that before to this extent.

Yeah I was a little disappointed that even in toy story there was no Slinky or even Jesse like toy story 2 came out almost 20 years now so they could have. Plus yeah Randall should have been a boss and they could of at least brought back the spider monster boss in the game.
