    The biggest issue is the already under powered tiny battery the 14b is only 2.70" wide and most batteries are 210 CCA for a huge high compression long stroke V-twin where your average HD battery is a 14-bs at 3.5" wide with much more CCA and the week battery will kill the starter and relay the hard to find parts are aftermarket cosmetic parts and the fuel pump cracking is a common issue for anything that sits with a plastic fuel pump specially the cold weather states.

    Joel, I'm a 2014 Raider owner, I love my bike...I just recently started hearing some weird kind of rubbing, chirping sound.....seems like it's suddenly coming from the back tire around the belt pulley! I get this guy feeling that my belt is loose..but I'm waiting for my belt tensioner device to be delivered. At 19 lbs, I understand what the deflection supposed to be. My problem is I don't have a garage or driveway... maybe I place a sheet 😂 plywood...then jackstands or think boards with multiple lakes!!!

    Absolutely nothing wrong with OEM fuel pump or starter relay. Fuel pump goes bad when owners run tank dry. Starter relays almost never just go bad (less than 10 years or 100k miles)...starter is fine and easy to access to clean it out, polish commutator, etc. Should probably have more of a mechanical background before blaming Yamaha lol

    • @joelsuarez4251
      @joelsuarez4251  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You must be on denial or never own a Yamaha Raider. Mechanical background has nothing to do with parts failing. What i have experience most of the issues I started having was around 60k @ 7 years of ownership, a fuel pump housing should never fail because the fuel light is on! My Factory Relay went bad and the aftermarket melted away and my starter was weak since day one! They are other having fork leaks and clutches going out and i have not experience that yet. This isn't my first bike and most Japanese's bikes rarely has the Raider issues. Maybe you should joined the Raider Forums before talking nonsense.

    @Joel Suarez Very interesting, I bought a 2009 after the owner gave up on reliability, he said he had an ignition switch problem according to check engine light code previously. He has replaced the electrical switch, starter relay and starter. Maybe the check engine code was related to the starter relay not turning on the fuel pump? He still thought the problem was related to the ignition switch and not the relay or starter. Have you experienced the check engine light coming on with your problems? Thanks!
