I have a question man. Is the kick in this song from the bear essentials kit kick 1? I have that kit and I cannot get the kick to hit this fat and sit above the mix. I have it the loudest but when I try to get my beats louder the kick starts to sound clicky and not as much weight to it. Anyways u can share some tips? Am I supposed to layer a heavier kick underneath. I know their are no rules but I'm talking specifically about this type of kick sound. Trap beats have it, westcoast beats, drake type beats, basically all new age beats have that loud fat kick and I can't for the life of my achieve it. I can send u a beat example if u are down to take a listen.
Don’t think this one’s from my kit. Drop an email & I’ll send you the kick I used on this. But honestly I don’t do too much a lot of these kicks are already loud af. You just have to pair em with a good 808. I might lower/ raise the volume a bit but thats about it. No EQing or any of that. Also I have a soft clipper (no tweaking) on my master that definitely helps.
@@bearonthebeat707 before you put the soft clipper do u peak your mix at -6 or -3 and just go uo the rest of the way with the soft clipper or do you push the mix to 0 and then put soft clipper?
