Hello sir, since the was techenically no question 17 on the test I got: 26/29 questions right on the video. Thank you for making this video it helped me remember.
The more you practice, the more you will be able to see the questions a few steps ahead. I consider a few paths to the answer, but I always choose the one that will take the least amount of work. That forward thinking takes practice. I also play chess every week, that helped me with looking a few steps ahead in math problems. Best wishes on your ASVAB!
Hey btw @45:13 you mentioned "it'll be really obnoxious if they don't let you use a calculator for that type of problem " unfortunately under no circumstances are any devices allowed with you only a pencil and paper in the test room , they do not give anything but a pencil and two sheets of blank paper. Took the asvab twice if anyone wants to know how I know that. P.S thanks for the video really helpful!
I appreciate your detailed comment! I will keep that in mind when I make future ASVAB videos. I guess the test makers really want to challenge everyone with the calculations.
I appreciate the vote of confidence! I would definitely pause the video and try the questions before seeing the solution. . If you get a question wrong, try it after seeing me do it until you are able to get it correct without any extra support. Ultimately, you are mastering a bunch of techniques, making them smooth so that the day of the ASVAB your math will just flow. I hope your test goes well!
This is pretty good video I suck at math extremely bad and the Asvab keeps kicking my ass now I’m in my 30s trying to take it it’s even worse only the math part for me.
Can you do a breakdown on 1-30 and by breakdown I mean what type of problems are they. What category do they fit in? Ex- ratio word problems, proportion problems, rate problems, percent problems, statistical terms problems, probably, sequence, integer. Would be helpful thank you
I will add that idea to the queue, for future ASVAB videos I can have the topic next to the question. Also, I can talk percentages in terms of which type of question is most likely to show up.
I will look for the most updated practice test. I have a playlist with a few practice test videos that should be helpful for now. I hope your ASVAB prep is going well!
@@vinteachesmath Much appreciation brother 🤝. I have my test tomorrow but I’ve been looking into your videos and it has been helping 💯 I just hope it’s something similar to your videos 🙏🏻.
Our answer needed to be in percent form, so in my head, I thought 5 x ? = 100. That is where I got 20 from. Otherwise, you can do 1 divided by 5 to get 0.20 which is also 20%. Since 20% have nuts, 100%-20% = 80% do not have nuts. Hope this helps!
I genuinely don't understand this question: At the arcade, Nick spent 203 tokens on video games in seven days. Each day he spent five more tokens than the previous day. How many tokens did Nick spend on the third day at the arcade? the answer says he spent 24 on the third day, but that makes no sense? How can you increment that by 5 each day to equal 203 by Saturday?
Thanks for the feedback! I have this edited for 1080p60 HD, if you can try watching it again, check the settings and switch the video quality to HD. Let me know if the video is still blurry!
I hope so, I found this free practice test doing a quick google search. The people that organize these practice test usually keep it within the same level of difficulty of the actual exam. I would do a quick search through google or reddit to see what people that actually took the exam have to say. Either way, good luck with your ASVAB exam and thanks for supporting the channel.
It's pretty much the same type of questions. Keep in my the more difficult questions you get the better. It just means you're answering them correctly. Those type of questions are worth more points. But once you get one wrong the dumb it down to a easier question which is worth only one point instead of 3.
Thank god I pass my ASVAB test on my 2nd attempt I almost gave up but Mr David gave me that courage to stand and face difficulties, he helped on with some tips and tricks for the ASVAB with study guides thank to him I got good grades dear friends I will recommend you working with him I got the key in passing the exam
From investopedia: Simple interest is calculated on the principal, or original, amount of a loan. Compound interest is calculated on the principal amount and the accumulated interest of previous periods, and thus can be regarded as “interest on interest.” We are dealing with simple interest, that is why we only find 4% once then multiply by 3.
Great video. I did the problems then watched you do them to see how much i still remember after being out of high school for 12 years
It is amazing how much we forget after 12 years! I hope your ASVAB test goes well.
@@vinteachesmath yea me as well hopefully you have more arithmetic reasonings for me to practice with
Pretty simple stuff. I’m going to MEPS take my ASVAB soon. I pray to god that I pass 🙏🏽
I hope your ASVAB goes well!

@@vinteachesmath You are very welcome.
14:30 Q9 makes this more easy than it looked harder😩🤯🙏🙏Thank You!
Happy to help and I love the Cobra Kai reference!
The biggest problem i have with arithmetic reasoning is knowing what calculation to use

You’re really good man. Should I write these problems down as you do them to try and get familiar with what operations to do??

As of Jan 2022 California State Board of Ed has
approved the use of calculators in ALL classes,
ALL grades.

Thanks for the info!

I know math is tough! Practice everyday as much as you can, that is the best any of us can do. I hope the ASVAB goes well for you.

@@vinteachesmath thank you very much, hoping to see it soon. I have my exam on September 30
heyy question. Can I use the I=PRT formula for #9?
Yes you can use I=PRT. That’s what was shown in the video it it was written different as opposed to I=4000 x .04 x 3
Can you do a 2022 ASVAB video practice unless it’s the same questions?
I will look for the most updated practice test. I have a playlist with a few practice test videos that should be helpful for now. I hope your ASVAB prep is going well!

For #5 you didn’t really explain how you got 20 you just kinda got it. Can someone go deeper into how he came up with 20 when multiplying the 1/5?

Q9 is wrong. That is exponential not linear. Not as simple as 160x3. Thats not how that works.

l wonder for what u need all that math in the military u never will use it anyway to anything. Wish to have your brain lol HAHA.
I wish you the best of luck on the ASVAB!
cool
Can you upload a few more math asvab videos ? They’re really helping !
I have to rummage around looking for more public practice tests. Then I will put one together!
