3:55 Socks is the puppy. And she is a she. She is one year old. Also, when someone in this show says they want a puppy in this context, it means they want to have a baby.
You'll be surprised how much effort the creators put into just small details. Not only are there a ton of Easter eggs referencing last episodes of pop culture. But also times where they keep small details on character traits and then have a circulation to a future episode
Last year in fourth grade my friend Cadense said, maybe bandit accidentally gave her something that’s not gluten-free so that’s why I think she’s in the hospital.
Hey @DJMystic, that's actually a very good theory. Because in an episode called 'Daddy Dropoff", which Mr. Tuna hasn't reacted to yet, Bandit is making the kids' lunches and he tries to make sure one of the lunches doesn't have gluten. In this case, that gluten free lunch must have been for Bingo.
As someone mentioned, a big theory is a celiac issue that had Bingo hospitalised. Apparently it’s kept vague so every child in hospital can relate to her. I actually had a dog named Bumpy when I was a kid. He sadly died when I was eighteen, he was thirteen. He was a nipper, a moody chihuahua, so seeing Socks play a dog named Bumpy with a biting habit, that felt like a funny and bittersweet coincidence for me. (To answer your question - as a kid, two overnight spells because of a broken arm, they’d had to put me under to get my arm to the right shape and then in a cast the first time, second time just to get it into a cast. A few years ago, a week in hospital with ketoacidosis and Refeeding Syndrome, the next year two nights with ketoacidosis, a couple of years ago ten days for a total thyroidectomy - so long because I was in for the week leading to it to make sure my thyroid hormone levels stayed stable and safe - and last year an overnight stay for observation after reporting to the ER feeling woozy with tachycardia. And those aren’t counting the times I wound up being in the ER overnight because I was taken there in the middle of the night and they wanted to keep me in for observation and tests to make sure things would be okay after some IV saline treatments.) Socks is a girl. All Heeler pups are girls.
Apparently, Bingo's stay in the hospital was based on an asthma-like condition, but celiac would line up with the gluten-free thing we hear about in another episode.
This episode is actually a rough retelling of the Buddhist story of Kisa Gotami. When I lost my older sister and was not old enough to understand, my mother used to tell this story to me because she found great consolation in it. There's strength and a form of unity to be found in the fact that every person experiences great losses sooner or later in life. You are never alone in your grief. Nick Cave rewrote the story into verse in his song "Hollywood" after having experienced the loss of his teenage son. It's a well-written and short alternative to the prose original; Kisa had a baby but the baby died Goes to the villagers says my baby’s sick Villagers shake their heads and say to her Better bury your baby in the forest quick Kisa went to the mountain and asked the Buddha My baby’s sick! Buddha said, don’t cry Go to each house and collect a mustard seed But only from a house where no one’s died Kisa went to each house in the village My baby’s getting sicker, poor Kisa cried But Kisa never collected one mustard seed Because in every house someone had died Kisa sat down in the old village square She hugged her baby and cried and cried She said everybody is always losing somebody Then walked into the forest and buried her child
Yes! I totally knew the second she told Bluey to go to someone who's never been sick. My dad's a Buddhist teacher. He told me and my brother many stories.
I have only been in the hospital over night once in my life (so far) when I was 3 years old. I had strep throat and the doctor was very concerned with how red and swollen my throat looked. If left untreated, my throat would have swollen to the point where I wouldn't be able to breathe. Had to stay in a children's ICU and given a IV, which I was not happy about at all. Mom had to distract me so I wouldn't freak out. Thankfully, I don't remember anything. I just go by what my mom told me.
So funny when Bandit said “We can edit that bit out right?” Like he doesn’t want Chili to see Muffin broke her vase but they still kept it in the video and Chili saw it
I've just came back & realized that "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound," is based off a Buddhist story called 'The Mustard Seeds.' However, 'The Mustard Seeds' wasn't about dealing with sickness, but with death. And it had a bittersweet message/ending to it.
0:18 To answer your question, when i was born,i had a very weak immune system. I would have comstant fevers and have eating problems ( i vomit everything i ate) so that meant i have to go to the hospital for my whole early years,so i didn't went anywhere, just on a boring hospital bed with nurses and constantly taking bitter medicine. I felt hopeless,i wanted to go home like bingo. When i saw this episode i cried,i really wished my family did this to me
I feel you Bingo. I’ve been in the hospital with asthma and some ending up in the hospital times was with seizure. One time was after my Stepmom and I had a car wreck. Bingo: Awww,my family and I are so sorry about that. Me: Thanks, heelers. ❤
Some people think Bingo has celiacs disease because it's proven she has to have gluten free food in later episodes. And while it's possible that she does have it other people speculate that she may have been in the hospital for asthma due to the doctor checking her lungs at the start of the episode
Yup, quite a few times. Some for surgeries and some for routine EEGs. Nothing that was life threatening at least. Got gifts and stuff for the surgeries.
I actually have been in the hospital when I was in 9th grade. I had to stay there for a night or two due to me having part of my thyroid in my neck removed.
As far as I'm concerned, Joe Brumm has admitted that his youngest daughter dealt with asthma. If Ningo preferred gluten free, it might be because it could be a dietary thing. I can't be sure, though. It's just an ideal theory.
Imma start pointing out everytime an episode has a a great soundtrack, cuz this one goes hard. th-cam.com/video/sHuCKEqXCzE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JAwVwzh2nwLr72M9

Many fans theorize that Bingo has Celiac disease, as a couple episodes hint at her having a preference for gluten-free food.
That's actually a really good detail right there! I'll have to keep a closer eye on these things!

Oh wow, thank you so much for sharing! Also, there are so many pups, it's hard to keep track of them all! lol
Sorry to hear you dog died I bet it was a good dog
@@ironpea4748 Thank you. He was, even while being a bit of a biter.
Is no one going to talk about adorable Socks is wrapped up in the blanket. And how she was falling asleep towards the end? Cause it’s so cute
His name is "Uncle Stripe". Rusty is Bluey's friend, he is the red kelpie. 😊
And an easy way to remember Stripe's name his the big stripe across his midsection.

I wish Bluey would say this episode of Bluey is called bumpy, and the wise old wolfhound.
I've just came back & realized that "Bumpy and the Wise Old Wolfhound," is based off a Buddhist story called 'The Mustard Seeds.'

actually the dog playing bumpy is socks Bluey's female cousin and its uncle stripes not rusty
Bluey looks so funny at 4:18 she’s all like “everything is fine everything is okay it’s all just part of act nothing bad here”
I've spent 2 nights and 3 days in the hospital because I kept passing out. Turns out I have vasovagal syncope due to extreme stress.
