Couldn’t have said it better about fishing the spawn. All this equipment and the trips we make, is our hobby! Absolutely love this channel and your instruction, buddy.
Fun Fact: You can use the top edge of your car window as a ceramic stick to sharpen your knife in a pinch. Just roll your window 3/4 of the way down and run your knife blade over the edge. It works great!
@@SMaamri78 I've learned a lot from watching him but what keeps me coming back is it's not trying to sell me on anything and there's no drama. Godspeed on your healing.
That water looks good, the river here, with any amount of rain, doesn't matter if it's a drizzle or a downpour, it turns into chocolate milk fast. Love your dedication and grind in the sport of kayak fishing. You are definitely an ambassador of sport. Congratulations once again on the TH-cam accomplishment 👏👏👏👏
I know you hate the channel cats , but that's all we have in my local reservoir , with the occasional flathead in the shallower end . So I fish for channels , and enjoy doing it . I bought my first kayak this spring , and have enjoyed some of my most productive catfishing ever from it , largely due to paying attention to small bits of advice from yor videos . Thanks so much for continuing to provide such great content .
Great content as always!! Your channel has returned my passion for cat fishing that I thought I lost after my dad passed. Is there any chance you can do a video showing how you read topo maps to find spots when not on the water or getting ready to fish new water?
Since moving from Illinois 11 months ago to Eastern Mid Tennessee fishing frenzy has spread through me like wild fire then came across you on YT through suggested videos now I'm currently on the hunt for flat head and blue catfish but unfortunately stuck to bank fishing until I can purchase a mid budget kayak tried Cordell Hull, Center Hill, Piercy Priest and some parts of the Cumberland definitely a tough conquest but with your tips and baits you use I think soon I'll overcome my quest for a monster... Thanks for your very helpful videos you put out keep up the great content you are well deserving of everything that comes to you...😎👍
Thanks for every video you post Justin I love fishing catfish and carp and striper out here in Las Vegas, Nv and when I can’t get out I just love watching your videos
Could you maybe do a video on how you keep your live bait at home before using and how long you keep them. As preparation for the next trip. I enjoy the videos and have learned a lot watching them. Keep it up. Thanks
If your fishing a spot from a past big fish experience you should put a quick picture of the fish you’ve caught from before idk if you’ve got the picture to do it but it would be cool to see
I'm from Halifax county NC and we catch some nice stripers here. We like to call them rockfish. But if you could please when you catch one measure his length. My PB rockfish is 46", would love to see the size on those
You can roll your window halfway down on your car and sharpen your knife on the top edge of the window like a stone and it does a whole lot better of a job and it’s really quick for five times each way and it’s sharp
Justin put a knife sharpener in your tackle box that you can sharpen in between fish . You should have plenty of time between bites. If you can put your phone down. Lol
Love your vids 2 Questions In your video are you fishing close to Watts Bar plant. I hear that is why the TN river is so polluted. Justin, do you ever clip a fin or tail on live bait to cripple it's swimming to help attract fish? I see a lot of people do that. Do you feel it helps?
Im new to kayak fishing, do you have any recomendations for a first kayak? Im looking for one thats stable enough where i can stand up in and still be able to drift for catfish.
That one you see him in! OLD town 136 auto pilot, it's not cheap and you will probably be put on a waiting list just to get it??? but I straight up love mine!
@@ethanliu122 ??? Not really, I was also looking at the Hobie but it costs even more! Justin what are the anchors called that you use to anchor your 2 by 4 on the front of your kayak? I think that would be the best thing for me to do to my kayak!
The biologists here in central Florida are on record with the statement there are no blue catfish in central Florida. The problem I have with this statement is we were catching them in central Florida 30 years ago from lakes. I went to Thompsons fish house this morning in eagle lake Florida and walked up to one of the commercial fishermen which just so happened to be one of the Thompson's and asked him where to catch big blues he told me the best spots and tried to give me a bag of undersize Nile perch for bait. I am going to go to Kissimmee chain thursday on an air boat and try my hand at it. I have a Hobie kayak fishing rig that I am going to hit the spots Mr Thompson suggested later. I have a question should I record me catching big blues where the experts say they do not exist?
Know you dont like channels but what's your largest one? Saw where you can get a trophy certificate for 30 in channel , that would be just right for the slot tournaments .
Is there a reason you belly hook them when you casted it out last video? I know normaly you hook it like you did in today's video. If you can't get to it no big deal. Tight lines.
Can you do a quick video on you putting the kayak in the water and you getting in and out.
What a great day. No boat traffic and no back ground noise.

How do you catch monster catfish from the bank? cause I've been doing everything to catch a giant

yes, great video. why don't you jig a gulp minnow 5-10 ft. deep? catch some live bait, while waiting on the cats. stay safe.
Are you using fresh cut bait or frozen cut bait ?
