Awesome build. How do you keep the diesel from freezing? I believe sprinter fuel tank underneath the van. It gets -40 around where i live and i wonder if it would be suitable for off grid living with conversion van.
Wow, that's cold! Diesel will start to gel around 5-10 degrees. Since we are fully customizable, we'd be happy to work with you on creating strategically placed radiant heating lines and space for air circulation.
The attention to detail and workmanship is undeniable and I do understand you build to the clients requirements but its hard to believe the owners didn't order their 170 EXT with a wet bath? OV create some of the most robust vans in N. America but I do wish they could take a page from the Europeans and build an expedition camper that is more tastefully appointed interiors, I'd prefer a better balance of form and function. I agree with some of the comments, take a look at German builders like CS or even the Volkswagen prototypes the "California XL". We can have our cake and eat it too, they are already doing it across the pond. I hope the van life movement can survive Covid. All the best!
Great van but I'd much rather have a wet bath than an upgraded stereo system. Though I have no experience with the stock Mercedes system, I can't see it being so bad it needs replacing.

Alexandre Coste Grrr people are such sissies these days! Get a bucket with a toilet seat on it and compost, as far as the shower goes, shower out back. Cold! Who the hell wants to live in a VAN somewhere cold??? Follow the good weather or, buy a different setup! They have a model called the Nancy, maybe that’s more your style, heated floors, a bidet and a tampon holder built right in! Sounds perfect for you!
@@SmoothOperator150 i dont complain. What i say is : this type of buyer of high end van without toilet is not relevant. I just say that. In fact its just a marketing story or designer story who both have never try to sleep in a van several day

I have the same AC in my van.. not sure how much power it uses but it's 22000 BTU and I have to plug in to shore power ot 3000 w generator if I want to use it when the engine is shut off..
@@lfaivre1 I know them first hand, a CS lives in my neighborhood. They are also good but many design decisions are really personal preferences. For me personally CS feels too cramped and I like many more open designs of @Outsidevan, Nomad Vanz, CoPilot Vans or Advanced RV better.
