It's so wild to look at his hitting statistics while he was with us. Overall they were pretty bad, but he was responsible for such an outsized number of really pivotal hits. And he was obviously such a good and steadying locker room presence when we badly needed one. I hope he tears it up in Pittsburgh.
It was such an amazing season. Part of me cant wait to see what happens in 2023 and part of me just wants to live in this 2022 season forever. Literally all the players were so bought in, and it looked like they were having so much fun. Roll Ners
Damn that throw behind France followed by Julio sending it makes you wonder if this is where Neris decided he was gonna be a big fuckin baby about it lol
2022 was a great year, coming back to this in preparation for the 2023 season. There was some epic moments and great calls but I think my favorite was "Carlos Santana has homered for the 3rd time in two games! And has shot the Jays out of Mid-Air!"
God, I don't remember being so excited about a team, not even when I was a kid and a braves fan. I am literally counting the days until opening day. Im 4 hours from Seattle, and haven't been to a game for about 8 or 9 years. But I am gonna make the trip this year.
Gonna miss Santana, dude was a great bat. And as crazy as it seems, that Angels brawl was 100% their turning point in the season. I still get chills from Cal's walk off homer to get us into the playoffs
For the record, Winker may have charged toward the Angels dugout, but the first punch was clearly thrown by an Angels player, but it was Winker, the guy that actually got intentionally hit by the pitch, that received the stiffest penalty. Shouldn't that have gone to the first punch thrown? I realize that the Angels manager got a longer suspension, but Winker was the longest among the players. And Julio drew a one game suspension for allowing himself to be held back by Acta the whole time. That I also don't get. Did he throw a punch with his mind? Is that what he was suspended for?
I think Winker's penalty was more about pushing aside the umps who tried to stop him from crossing the field, honestly. I can see why MLB would really drop the hammer for laying hands on officiating crew more so than other players. And Julio definitely did throw at least one punch. You couldn't see it in the official broadcast, but there are other angles (I think the Jomboy breakdown shows them?) that show it. The biggest travesty is that Nevin wasn't suspended for a lot longer. He clearly sent Wantz out there specifically to throw at players, and that should've bought him a suspension for the rest of the season.
@@FlatPlutoSocietyat the time that’s what I was saying he could’ve seriously hurt someone. I get it’s a sport but there’s a difference between trying to hurt someone and accidents happening.
Going to the world series (if not winning it) would definitely top it. At this point there are still five other teams that have never won a world series (though of course we are the only ones who've never gone) so we still have a chance to not be the last team to win a world series.
@@3SailorMartin Rangers, Rays, Rockies, Padres, and Brewers are those 5 other teams that never won a World Series. I believe Seattle will have their time, they’re long overdue for some long term success.
A bit of a troublemaker but I wouldn't call him a menace. He just doesn't take anything from anyone. I think we're going to wish he was still here this coming year, he's going to be healthy again an tear it up. That's what I think is going to happen anyway. I read the articles about how other M's didn't like his work ethic, that's not good but if he's killing it I think people would overlook it. Especially fans. I'm afraid he's going to hit 300 with 25hr again but not with Seattle.
@@TerryT0114 Yeah, I just have a feeling he's going to tear it up in Milwaukee this season. It was so blatantly obvious that he was playing with a nagging injury most of last season, and assuming his surgeries and rehab took, he'll have that pop back.
@@FlatPlutoSociety It looked to me like he was hurting all season as well but all I saw anyone say was how bad he was. It seemed obvious he was playing with pain but no one else seemed to agree with me. After watching his 2021 highlights it was clear that something was wrong in 2022. To me anyway. But I'm just some dude, no expert by far.
I’m gonna miss Santana. Dude was so clutch.
for sure, him and Toro had some really clutch hits

Same, I wish we still had him
I wish we still had toro
Aaron Goldsmith is such a gem as an announcer. Glad he's staying here to call games in Dave's booth for a while rather than going to St. Louis
I would agree. His excitement doing Mariners games is really impressive to see. BTW:Chip Caray took the job in St Louis.

That brawl with the Angels may have been terrible at the time but it was the turning point in our season and the downfall of theirs.
It is without a doubt the turning point
such an incredible turn of events after that brawl. baseball is magical
Damn that throw behind France followed by Julio sending it makes you wonder if this is where Neris decided he was gonna be a big fuckin baby about it lol
I know he didn't really work out for us, but Winker will always be a legend to me for 20:57.
Mariner highlights and Goldy calls are the best.
Goldy is my favorite Ms announcer since Neihaus
Good vibes only. This season was magical.
We win it this upcoming year. It's our time.
Awesome video. Never gonna forget this season
I watched this and then looked up at the clock… felt like 10 minutes. Chills from almost every highlight 🤩

Thanks for putting this together. Watching this almost has to be a rite of passage for anyone who’s late to the party this coming year.
These guys made me excited to watch baseball every day . I missed that feeling. Looking forward to 2023!!
Incredible Year! Go Mariners!
I feel like every single Abraham Toro hit this season was clutch enough to make this compilation

Got to spend the summer in Seattle. This team made it so magical.
the announcers voice cracks throughout the film had me dyin
The FTX patches on the umps just hit a little differently now 😂😂
If only Dave was here to see it... RIP legend 🙏
😢
I watched Dylan Moore hit that walk off against the Red Sox and I had never heard T-Mobile park get that loud before. HELL of a season last year!
Too bad i never got to watch any of these games live. This team was dope! Lets go Ms 2024!
Time to use this to make the best Aaron gold smith best calls video
Make a 2023 tape!
what a magical season, hope we can turn things around after the way it ended last year

1:15:17 greatest home run in Mariners history

TORO! He was so clutch! Gonna miss him, I hope he kills it over as a Brewer
Watching this rn and remembering how excited I was for this season fuck
Great video as always keep up the good work. Go Mariners.
As Billy Beane once said its hard not to be romantic about baseball
17:51 Ahh yes this is where the fun begins!!😂😂
great compilation
How will they top this season?
I know most of us want more an better but 2022 was really special.
It's going to be hard to outdo 2022.

This team has ‘95 vibes.
I hope they can do what ‘95 couldn’t do. No disrespect to ‘95 in any such way.
I will miss Santana and Winker. They brought the "swag".
Looking back at this after a horrible 2024 start.. what happened
Sorry, Rangers fans, but those powder blue uniforms just don't look right.
