If you stick to the lesser traveled areas, especially on the weekdays, you can usually grow a Dino without running into much of anyone. Impact Crater/Great Plains, Green Hills, Savannah Grassland, Hunter’s Thicket and Green Valley are all areas I only visit when I’m looking for a tussle or to aggravate the local populace. As I tell everyone, “don’t go there unless you’re okay with dying”.
i remember growing our stegos and kentros with my boyfriend at the time, figuring things out, him getting annoyed when kent lost the ability to jump, barely dipping into the other dinos. Sometimes i miss being new, game was more fun then

istg the first time playing PoT ON OFFICIALS (idk im naturally inclined to torturing myself) I was always sneaking and trembling everywhere I somewhat knew about the dangers of the crater (which I was not aware that I was close to) passed 16 minutes hidden away from a trex helping other dinos grow, but I didn't even trust not a single pixel of a shadow, so I was sneaking the entire green valley like if it was Alien Isolation
I remember being a newbie and being born in white cliffs. I quested there then headed to IC unaware it was a bad place. Luckily I was on a baby Thal as my first Dino. It was before Hatz or rhamph came out so I used to sit on the edge and watch people fight. I thought the whole map was like it until an adult Thal found and adopted me, showing me all areas of the map and where was safe to quest.
I actually finally tried out the solo officials...and I actually enjoyed it. I recorded the whole thing (bar the first 10 mins cos I'm stoopid lol) so I might make something out of it, but a lot of interesting things happened (including the whole "I'm friendly...sike" lmao) and I met people in obscure places - Ripple Beach, Broken Tooth Canyon - and they removed water from IC (but left the lakeweed quest in 🙄) so there was only 2 other dinos there passing through. I play solo 90% of the time anyway cos my friend who plays rarely comes on (and 2 other people who I have won copies for never do anymore 😔)
They removed the water from crater on the solo servers? That’s cool, what does it look like now? Is it still just the sand texture but without the water?
@AKayani559 of course you can, but not very often. I went halfway across the map in other obscure places and found players everywhere, it was a nice change to them sitting in GP and IC lol
Im always someone who eats the babies due to it becoming a nursery then a giant mega pack , I can never understand why just sit in one spot when their is a whole island to explore
Pretty much my first experience in Path of Titans.. it's the time Gondwa release. And I am using Spino traveling out of curiosity and went to impact Crater unknowingly. And... Get killed. Nice guide for Newbies..
Ahh, I remember the days of being a fresh newbie player on Path, I watched many videos prior to actually playing it, and kept hearing "Never trust anyone". I wanted to try grouping with fellow carnivores for once instead of being a solo juvi allo fending for itself in Panjura, and a mel rex took me in... My poor naive self felt safe in this behemoth's presence, following it like a lost puppy. Then it killed me in one chomp when I was tabbed out trying to type on the switch (I play on pc now lol). I was so confused and asked in global if friendly fire was a thing, same rex said "Yes". GOOD TIMES.
Oh goodness, I have played the game over 2 years now. I remember my first death very well, Pachy was my first dino and I had no clue how to traverse the terrain...first thing I did was try to go to YG ws, but from the backside and didn't know how to get up! My first death was drowning but as I was dying a duck came up to my side and I remembered how scared I was as that duck was my first ever other player I saw in the game. But now that I look back, that Duck was possibly going to try to help me but oh well lol
I was randomly watching PoT videos on youtube when I came across this one and I didn't even see when it was uploaded. So imagine the jumpscare I got at 2:49 when I saw the chat and that it had me talking there. From earlier today 😂 (I am Qvi, I was playing a juvi meg when this friendly spino approached me with a manta ray and offered it to me, then helped me quest and grow around Rainbow Hills) This has caught me off guard completely but not in a bad way. On topic tho, Impact Crater be Impact Crater, sadly nothing new from what I can see. One moment you are having the time of your life with strangers and their cool dinosaurs, the next moment you are someone's lunch. Most likely not the best experience for a new player. Fortunately for me, I got warned about it early in game so I knew to be vary in that area.
This video is literally true but because my PlayStation took hours to download all the mods for a community server I was pretty much just stuck to official and not wanting to waste the money I put in it I just decided to stick with it and yea at first I didn’t do what the hell crator is so my thoughts were almost the same
Or the infamous "baby killer at xyz." Stop broadcast calling. Stop making a bunch of noise by running around constantly. Stop trusting every. Single. Other. Dino. You see.
@AKayani559 Dying sucks, don't get me wrong, and we're all new at some point, but it's a learning process in a survival game. Hating on someone who is capitalizing on the mistakes of a juve who is making a ton of them is unnecessary is my point.
I dunno about the last part of "how it was intended" i personally dont think it was the dev's intention for crater be so overpopulated all the time, there is an entire map. But certainly if a player knows an area is dangerous and goes there anyway as a baby dino, thats on them when they die xD
@@hunyadacrazy what i meant by that was the fact when a player dies there corpse provides food there’s been whole mix groups coming after me and my friends just for scavenging the kills in fact most of my friends quit the game because of how many people just let there baby do whatever they want and say “it’s just a baby” as if absolve them of consequences

OMG you grew a dasp! I bet you already deleted it xP Stop going to the areas where you know youre gunna die and STOP coming back afterwards to that same area lol. A great screenshot tbh Hunya, love it.
The perfect server like that is going be rare to come by. Some servers come close, but then the catch is that they have a bunch of sh***y modded dinos. PT stuff is aight, but anything with DB or fantasy creatures is an immediate no.
Gonna state the obvious here, if you dont care about dying, go nuts 😅😂

@dtbrex08 yeah they left the sea grass in there so it looks kinda weird but just a giant sand pit with fluttering weed in now 😅

Solo mod ☹️
I was planning on growing and taking a sarco their
You can also find players in ripple beach in normal official servers

Fr, I don’t know why they keep on staying in 1-2 locations. It defeats the purpose of exploring the entire map.
