    I have done my MBBS in Medicine and graduated this July doc. Here, the MBBS course is for 1.5 years (Pre-Medicine) + 4 years where we finish all the subjects in 3 years and the 4th year is all for clerkship /internship and then, we are awarded the graduation degree. So is this THE INTERNSHIP that AMC wants to get a job?

      Hi doctor,
      Yea, that would be counted as internship given that you have proof of the rotations under the letter head and your final degree.
      Congratulations on passing your exams.
      Hope this helps.

    Hello doctor ! I am from Pakistan I did my medical degree from foreign country (Kyrgyzstan) and then I came back to Pakistan and completed one year internship in Pakistan…but I don’t have permanent licence of my home country…now I am preparing for amc-1 after once I cleared the part-1…will it be easy for me to get a job?

      Hi Dr, Regarding your licence, the question will be how you practiced in Pakistan without one and would it be valid and also for you to provide Certificate of Good standing at the time of registration here from one MC to another. You would have to do part 2 exam if the internship is not valid to get a job and also provide a Cover letter to explain as to why you dont have a licence. I hope this helps to understand the pathway.
      Kind regards,
      KP Balan

    My name is Osama Anwar, I am a MBBS doctor from India. I finished my MBBS(with 1 year internship) on 11/10/22. After that, I was preparing for NEET PG(it's an exam to get into post-graduation in India ) which is going to be held in july/2024. But now I am thinking of moving to Australia for my postgraduation.
    I didn't work for almost a year coz i was preparing for neet pg. So what should I do now? I am willing to come to Australia and do my pg from their.
    I have seen your videos and it motivated me to an extent that my only goal now is to come to Australia.

    Introduction of NExT has just made it very complex for us. As I have to give the exam in 2024 and still without assurity that if there would be Next or MCI. Would like to get your opinion on my further preparation plans.

    • @imgguideinaus
      @imgguideinaus  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi doctor,
      I do understand that NExT exam has made it tough for Indian doctors to migrate out. It depends on where you would like to ultimately work and settle down. Unfortunately internships are tough gig to land in AUS as they are mainly reserved for AUS graduates. If you have the experience, the RMO positions are relatively more easier.
      Hope this helps,

      Hi Dr,
      You would have to get your work experience compared through the "Specialist Pathway." It is a very competitive field. Your experiences will be assessed by the college on a case by case basis. All pathways i.e standard/competent/specialist pathway require AMC registration and EPIC verification.

    • @imgguideinaus

      If you college is recognised by WDOMS and AMC, yes. But at the time of registration after the exams you will need to write a cover letter as to why you are not registered with a medical board . They then assess it case by case to award you the registration and the level. Hope this helps

      Hi Dr Soni,
      Depending on the level of experience and your qualification. If you are applying through the standard pathway, it would be AMC MCQ & OSCE. I have given more details about this pathway in my IMG pathway videos. The alternate pathway would be the specialist pathway- where you will be sending your qualifications to the Royal College of Physicians. They will assess your qualifications and decide if you have to do the AMC exams.
      Hope this helps,

    Hello, I'm doing my mbbs in Georgia. After the completion of the 6 years program which includes intership, we are recognised as junior doctors. And for license it takes extra 3 years.
    Do I need to get the license in order to become eligible for amc or the recognition of junior doctor enough?

    • @imgguideinaus
      @imgguideinaus  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi Dr,
      The licence becomes an issue at the time of registration after your exams when you have to provide a "Certificate of Good Standing" to the council. However if you can give your circumstances in a cover letter and why you are unable to produce this from the medical council and if you can produce from your college, they might consider it. But again this is reviewed on a case by case basis.
      I hope this helps.

    Hi, i am australian citizens now i high school students in perth after schooling i am planning to go to my home country. which is india to do medicine. But i am OCI card holder india. So i am only eligible for all india quota 15% or NRI quota if i get a good score in neet. i will choose india . NRI frees tomuch.
    So georgia medicine fees is lower then india NRI quota .
    I am student in india i am IMG. georgia means FMG .
    I would like to work australia which one is better georgia or india.

    • @imgguideinaus
      @imgguideinaus  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Doctor, You are eligible for the indian quota if you pass the NEET entrance exam to secure the seat. Otherwise it would be the NRI.
      Please make sure that you have the opputunity to do internship- this is where you will have the most trouble if you want to come back to Aus to work.
      I would say India - if you dont want to do an FMG exam and also secures you having an internship. But Indian rules change constantly and you may have an Exit exam when you finish or have a 2 yr moratorium- this is why it becomes hard to advise.

    your are actually also FMG(Foreign Medical Graduate) to Australians. Since you have done your degree from India, so you are not FMG to India, but from the reference/viewpoint of Australia, You are also a Foreign Medical Graduate.
    But here in Australia as well, you guys have come up with new terms to distinguish between MBBS Abroad and MBBS in India and such things only apply to India but not here in Australia or for that matter any developed country.
    I got surprised to know you invented difference between Foreign Medical Graduate and International Medical Graduate.
    ECFMG means Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates. So, According to USA as well, Anyone who did his/her Primary Medical Qualification from any country other than USA is considered as FMG. And, the same concept applies to Australia, New Zealand and UK as well, or for that matter any country. You are also FMG according to Russia, but those indians who did medicine in Russia are not considered FMG.
    If India is the best country and Indian doctors are the best, then why you Indian doctors leave India .
    Insane level of hypocrisy

      Good Morning Doctor, I am sorry you feel that way and strong feelings to the term FMG. This is not a term i created. Regarding me being an IMG or an FMG is irrelevant. This is a video created after gathering information about the pathway to work here in AUS and the main point of the video is to create awareness of the difference about the 2 terms for the Australian pathway and no other country. This video is also in the view point of Indians wanting to migrate to AUS. I am sorry you feel that way about being a doctor trained outside Australia.
      Regarding the US definition... which I have not made any reference to.
      Regarding the hipocrisy, I did not state any countries doctors are the best and did not say any country is best as well. So please be careful of what you are claiming one is saying. Everybody can be a keyboard warrior, just make sure you get your facts right before. Also please be aware, any form of rudness is not tolerated and will be reported.
      Have a good day
