Stabby stabby is an old TF2 spy player who would calmly explain their thought process and some tips, tricks and just their own personal preference, whilst showing off some of the best spy gameplay you could imagine. There was just something so entrancing about the calmness crossed with what is legitimately intense gameplay that let's you kinda feel like you are absorbing more information than you might otherwise.
This was really useful and informative. You explained a lot and you made it really easy to understand your thought process as well as some basic tips. I hope you get a chance to make some more of these match-breakdown style videos in the future!
I was thinking about having highlight videos that are shorter (6~ minutes) and then doing longer Uncut "Raid Review" videos where I do commentary throughout the whole match rather than just the combat. Is that something you'd be interested in?
@@ltbonobo I certainly wouldn't mind some of those - I know from experience that having to do excessive editing for clips you post can be a real pain, I definitely wouldn't mind if you post some easier things to put out too. Are you thinking the highlights would still have post-commentary? Or just like a sort of showcase/montage type thing? If they're commentated I don't think it would hurt to cut out the more repetative/dull parts between fights. I don't know how often you're planning to upload but if you do put out a lot then maybe you could still do an occasional full-match commentary once in a while - there are some non-combat things that are interesting, like how to deal with particularly bad spawns (things where the circle is really forcing you to move extra far maybe) TLDR: make what you want and try not to let it turn into a chore, I'll be happy either way :p Edit: Honestly if I had any real requests as far as what you should and shouldn't post in the future - it would be to not be afraid to post clips with mistakes/deaths/losses. Some of the most useful matches to learn from are the ones where streamers end up losing, but can analyze and explain what they should have done different, and it helps break the illusion that new players fall for over how 'ideal' their matches should go. Rather than posting only the ones that went the best - which is good to do, just not as the only source of content. (This last bit is me drawing from my experience with content in various other games though).
Yo man, great vid. I have noticed something about potions recently. If you drink potions of different quality at the same time the effects will stack on top of each other. For example, drinking HP potion 19hp in 20, 15hp in 20 etc. will make u heal way faster. That's an insanely usefull tip in pvp. You can stack effects as long as they are not the same type. Take care.

Love that you seem to play for kills rather than loot, I do the same on Rogue. If I want loot, I play fighter with my friends backing me up. If I want solo fun I go create chaos as rogue. Will give wizard a go!
I was maining Ranger for the playtest and started doing Wiz around the last 2 days and i was hooked. Can easily 1v3 if you play your cards right, and the immense AoE you can dish out in 1v3s help out a lot. Also does a better job at being a rogue than the rogue lol
I do like the utility of what wizard brings to the table for 1vx. As for the better rogue comment I've seen that being meme'd around a lot and I'd be fine with the devs tuning the invis spell in a way they seem appropriate but the Invis spell and the rogue hide serve different purposes imo. The rogues hide is best for long set up ambushing and the wizards invis is best for mid combat repositioning. I'd be fine with the devs making rogues footsteps silent while hidden and just removing the creep perk to help them out

For sure I hope you enjoy wiz! I played with some friends at the start of the playtest so I didn't play a whole lot of solo at low level but I definitely played solo in low gear situations. It's 100% possible to go in with starter gear and make it out stacked.
good video and nice commentary, but I did notice that the gameplay and audio in the first 1:45ish were not synced 100% right, your commentary was just like 1 second ahead of the gameplay. You fixed it with the rest of the video, but it is something to watch out for in the future. otherwise good shit my dude
I do wish that the circle closed a bit slower so that people wouldn't feel pressured to just ignore content and rush towards the middle. I do want to keep the zone because the pressure of forcing situations / fights is definitely more interesting than finding nobody as the lobby dies out
@@ltbonobo What about the damage scaling... I honestly think it's bad like +flat damage scaling favours fast weapons, Rogues and Wizards with daggers can 2 shot people which is annoying
@@rQuillix I'm just glad that this playtest I'm not getting 1 tapped by rangers all the time. Flat damage does favor fast attacking weapons for sure, but I would rather see new modifiers on slow attacking weapons with large local % damage modifiers. Like for example a legendary 2 handed axe having 10-15% increased damage to compete with the added flat for other classes
idk if you'll see this but it would be nice to see your loadout before seeing the gameplay as it could help other people orientate towards what stats/gear they should bring

@@ley2348 Fair question, I'll be going into detail over weapon selection and build archetypes in my wizard guide but I really value having as high movement speed as possible. Book is -10 while orb and dagger together was a whopping -35!!!
He was hard holding a shield that makes him really slow. He should have had his 1h + shield out and A D strafe + jump as I fire to make his movement less predictable and potentially reduce the splash damage by being farther away from the origin of the blast. He essentially was a non-moving target

I have a wizard guide up if you want a more detailed guide to gear but having as much additional willpower / + magical damage / + magical power / + true magic damage will greatly increase your damage
In that part of the video they were already damaged from the enemy player a bit, but stacking a lot of will power + added damage + headshotting with magic missiles you''ll melt most PVE

In some later footage I'll be showcasing crystal sword + ignite with good gear clearing 5 mummies at a time within 30 seconds so gear DEFINITELY makes things easier like with all classes
Inferno honestly never really felt worth the risk. Anytime I'd get to the end of a high roller lobby either I'm looted up on good juice and/or my med situation was looking rough. The centaur down there was scarier than the lich and would do 90% of my hp with one swing. They'd have to do some tweaking of risk:reward to incentivize going down there, potentially gear that only spawns in the inferno and has unique interesting properties
I'm about to send this to Jay Griffyuh as a example of a great vid on commentary and solid examples. BTW meditation carries over when it comes to spells and that's why sometimes you get 1 or two of your magic missile and chain lightning takes 2 meditates per spell slot.

@@ltbonobo after 110+ hours and just expirementing and recording it myself yeah it is that way but great content homie. There's a certain amount of seconds per level of spell to get back like chain lightning is 12 seconds . I think it's 2 seconds per tier of spell. Meditation is 10 seconds and you get back 5 zaps on a full meditate. But if the spell slots are full on one spell it will not carry over on that spell.

I actually quite like that this game is difficult and hardcore, it wouldn't give the same sense of satisfaction if it weren't this way so I'd like it to stay! Thankfully it won't be as punishing in the future as we will start out on an easier floor so it won't be so overwhelming to pve and progress!

I have high hopes and confidence from what I've seen so far in interviews and just seeing the game itself that the devs will stick to their guns and make a gem that we all enjoy for years to come!
definitely good fights, but you just lost more than 60 gold on healings and protection potions alone, looted nobody, i consider it a disaster and game was not worth itself especially for new players who struggle with finances
This just looks like skillful gameplay, but the game seems horribly unbalanced so far. I played one game as a fighter and got double fireballed through a door by a two man wizard team. Was dead before I even knew what was going on. Not my kinda game, methinks lmfako
@@blackstag9366 It's fair if you just don't like a class after tying them out but barbarian with a cleric and wizard in groups is terrifying. Having them run at you with haste + cleric buffs with a felling axe is panic mode instantly so I wouldn't shun the barb too quickly
For it being playtest it has quite a bit of content I'd say. There was a lot of stuff I couldn't get to like the ghost king / skeleton key room. To get everything done within the week you'd have to not touch grass or have insane rng

if you go with ignite you should def take a dagger and glas orb its really good against mobs so you dont have to burn your spells on mobs :)
I personally wasn't a fan of orb and dagger but it was definitely a good build for sure!

Wow i didnt like the recent playtest cause the wizard felt underpowered to the point of being useless. Clearly it was a skill issue. Bravo.
Low level / low gear wizard is rough to push through so I don't blame you at all for finding him underpowered! Especially if trying to do it solo
You need zap instead of ignite.
Definitely a fine choice, ignite was bugged during the play test at first to affect spells and was patched later on!

The only problem wizard have is rangers with >80 IQ who can land tripleshot and you cant do anything about it

PvP game with no content ...
Tell me you haven't played without telling me you haven't played.
For it being playtest it has quite a bit of content I'd say. There was a lot of stuff I couldn't get to like the ghost king / skeleton key room. To get everything done within the week you'd have to not touch grass or have insane rng
I already miss the game so much, i'm just watching content until february 🥲
