Thanks, bro. I was contemplating whether or not it was worth opening the motor compartment. It looked like there may have been a filter in there to clean.
I've been subscribing to your channel for about a year and just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your content and how useful it has been for me. You and your wife have such warm, inviting personalities which adds greatly to my enjoyment of your videos. Of course, I just love seeing Rosie when she makes her on screen appearances! I have a small vacuum collection of machines that I personally find appealing for one reason or another. Included is a Dirt Devil Swivel Glide like the one you recently repaired with JB Weld. I bought mine new about 22 years ago and used it for about three years until a friend gave me a new Dyson DC14 for Christmas in 2005. I still have these vacuums and both are still in mint condition. I just retired the Dyson from daily use in favor of a really nice 2007 Riccar 8900 I recently acquired. I simply love the Riccar 8000 series. They are so simple, durable, and deep cleaning. My other vacuums include my parents 1970 Kirby Classic that they purchased 52 years ago... still looks and runs excellent. I also have the following: 1975 Electrolux Super J; 1983 Hoover Concept One (near mint); 1984 Rainbow DC3; 1994 Filter Queen Majestic Triple Crown (mint condition); 2003 Kirby Ultimate G-7; and a 2015 Carpet Pro Professional Vac that I purchased new and use in my cleaning business. Thanks for making such great videos and keep up the EXCELLENT work!!
Hey please read this. So I’m trying to fix my vacuum it’s a dyson dc17 but every time I recline it like make this very obnoxious rattling vibrating noise but I have been trying to do everything to it but it’s still making the noise so I do not know what to do with it my vacuum. I do not want to get rid of the vacuum it work so good
Where do you put the little piece of plastic that flew out from the motor assembly in the first part? I had the same thing happen to me and I don’t know where to put it back 🤣 thanks friend
I have the same model, there are no holes in the hose, and the motor started running louder. The filter and spin brush is clean. I believe its the motor, please HELP
You can complete the motor repairs as I've done in other 2191 videos (bearings), swap the motor entirely or simply throw it out. How much effort do you put into a used vacuum worth $20?

Take it to a repair shop for service. It might be expensive though.
What part do you think it is
@@Dyson17 I wouldn't know without looking at it directly.
Hey again do you have a vacuum repair shop that you might know?
@@Dyson17 I haven't had a vacuum repaired at a shop since the 1980's.

Do you mean the round felt filter that goes in the end of the clamshell? It's a motor filter.
where does Bissell 1608234 Post Motor Fiber Filter go on this vaccum. It shows in parts list
It goes in one of the motor axle holes.
