I wish there were more league youtubers like you who do informational videos like this on how to beat each matchup. With most champs I pick up I just have to lose the first 10 games until I learn from my mistakes but I will pick up Riven fast I think with your good guides :D
Quick question, when you're trying to trade with morde post 6 what's stopping him from dropping an ult on you and forcing an all in? Do you just try to kite him out in the ult?
Had a very hard time despite a kill lead and saving e post 6 to get out after a trade. He had a steelcaps and armor item rushed and won very easily. I think lane is probably over at this point.

I have two questions: 1. you said that you would cheese him if he walked through tri, but don't you just lose that trade once your q is done due to his passive? 2. when you decided to push the wave because he did not tp, couldn't he just tp once he saw you and freeze the wave?
Question 1, I think cheesing in tri is tricky ye, cheesing in lane bush is better. Question 2, yes he 100% shouldve I also said that live on stream, I checked like 4x if he was going to TP or not
These are amazing, could you do Volibear or Urgot? Those are the matchups I struggle w the most on Riven, and top lane in general (My other pick is irelia) so i've resorted to permabanning voli lol
I mean everything you did I already knew....I just killed a morde and he comes back with a blasting wand and is able to poke me down even though I have the item lead and I use my e to dodge his e's and q's. He is able to poke me down and no jungle helps me even though I am under tower.... Im buying goredrinker, he is buyinG Rylais so He gets item before me and if he hits me with one ability I get severly poked out due to rylais passive. it's quite cancerous.
most ranged champs have one ability that helps them keep distance and it should have quite a high cooldown. for example: Gnar e 22s cooldown Vayne e 20s cooldown Akshan e 18s cooldown these matchups are very simillar, in early game you let them control the wave untill u hit level 3-4 (get as many cs as you can while also saving health, cheesing lvl 1 or even getting prio is possible but it requires a lot of skill and knowledge) now if the wave allows you (its not a huge wave thats gonna murder you, preferably you are the one slow pushing into your oponent) you can try to close the gap in order to waste their "safety" ability. if they do waste it then you have a window where they have it on cooldown while your cds are coming back up (if they dont waste it then u should get a good trade but usually they will use it in order to stay healthy). now if in that time window they step too close - it is your chance to all in and kill them, if they keep distance till their cd comes back then you should use that time to get the wave in a better state (basicially make sure that u wont get stuck with the waves close to his tower where he could freeze it). useful things: get some wave managment knowledge as its crucial here check if they have bone plating, if they do then you should pay attention to this cooldown the same way as with the "safety" ability playing nimbus cloak + ignite makes all ins much easier but if you dont fully understand the matchup you should stick to teleport and use it to "fix" your mistakes and learn the matchup stacking your q's is important, one extra dash vs ranged champ makes huge difference and it can also make the cooldown window much better utilize your e as both shield and dash
@@euronico7949 The issue is that his Q actually forces you to use too many Q's for an actual trade to gap close if spaced well. Riven Q cd is too long compared to morde Q early.

As a Riven player I can't see how u can loose to a Riven in lane with a Morde anyway
If a Morde has a single braincell to not fight a Riven early game is the real hard match up for Riven honestly.
