Really enjoyed this type of instructive content. It’s informative and something that can obviously be used in our own flight sims. Please keep them coming!
Really enjoy this type of video, love seeing how you work from a plan to complete an objective - especially with low-level complicating things! Would also love to hear any other details you can share, what sort of radio work you'd need to do to enter / exit low level, what are you thinking about when you fly over ground-features, etc. Great as always.
I was lucky enough during my career as an RAF avionics engineer at RAF Chivenor to get a lot of back seat trips ranging from simple weather checks early in the morning with the CO to target towing and Simulated attack profiles. Around 50 hours in Hawks logged. This brought it all back. Nice video. Thanks
@@cgaviator constant 3g turn over the Bristol channel with a trainee firing 30mm coloured rounds at your tail banner, praying he doesn't lead too much on the RGI. Come to think of it , it does sound a bit stupid. Ah the joys of youth.
As eve excellent instructional videos. Could I suggest a part 3 showing the detail of your flight planning etc and maybe a series of flight training exercises to show some of the training that goes on at valley. Keep it up Chris well done.
Thanks! And I’ll see what I can do. The flight planning videos are much less popular. Perhaps I’ll do a bit of plan and fly demos breaking down the separate skills.
How funny, naive, silly. I have been playing Flight Sims off and on for a long time. I feel confident in my flying and landings. In some of my aircraft I do struggle with them, Then I watch one of your videos and remember it takes a long time to learn all there is to know to fly proficiently. I pick up my broking wings and start again. Starfighter here I come. Thanks for your videos. Cheers Mate.
@@rutchiemctavish you mean visually or input? Input is all default, visually I have sealed a few things back to allow OBS to screen record to a reasonable standard.

@@rutchiemctavish Sadly no. I use a 3070 and can fly with most things maxed out in terms of graphic settings. But I need to dial it back occasionally. And on this video I also set vsync with frames at 40fps which seemed to help alot.
Great pair of videos Chris, thank you. I have a couple of questions about my flying in the Hawk that I'll send you on your FB page, I hope you don't mind answering them for me as it must get tiresome when people bug the poop out of you 😉 Once again, thank you for great content
I was going to mark you down for saying "Betsy coh-ed", but at least you recognised the bad pronunciation! 😁 (It's "betoos uh coyd"). I couldn't quite see if you had my Llanddwyn Island and Dolwyddelan Castle scenery mods installed... 😉 Good, informative and entertaining videos as always. I love flying around in the Hawk, especially in VR, but I can barely keep it at a consistent speed and altitude, let alone fly to accurate headings and timings!
Hi cg any chance of a video showing how you enter the performance data for the hawk and or tornado in littlenavmap? I’m really struggling to find the data to complete the aircraft performance page. Many thanks
Brilliant can you put your settings up on what you have in the sim like ulta as mine is bouncing all over the place at low level since the latest update..
You mean your jet is bouncing? I’ve not tried this since the update but I know the flight dynamics have taken a turn over the many updates. All my settings are default/high
Hi I am having trouble mapping the gear lever on my quadrant. I cannot find the gear lever anywhere in the cockpit or a photo of it on the internet. Can you please tell me where it is located ? Thanks a million.
Hi there, bought this product today and have had one major issue. I have searched online for countless hours now and I am totally stuck. All reviews online including TH-cam I have watched and this issue works perfectly for everyone else. I have deleted and redownloaded the product hoping that would make a difference but it hasn't. The issue is when I input the correct input for the ailerons for the aircraft to either bank right or left my aileron deflection is very small and the aircraft banks very slowly to one side even thou I'm putting max input on my analogue stick, I've tried everything and it makes no sense. It's nothing to do with my controller or MFS2020 100% something with the aircraft, I don't understand why it's just happening to me as there's no reviews of this particular problem. Very much appreciate any help with this PLEASE.
@@cgaviator please don't think you have to. we each have our own way of remembering things, pork chop lake is a great name. great uploads even if its simulated. where did all the real footage go? first it was blurred cockpits so you couldnt see the instruments then they were all taken down, guess is a MOD thing.......... nothing like seeing the real thing:P

your Hawk sorties are just so interesting to watch and be impressed by the precision!

Awesome stuff. For comparison, when I fly low and fast in the sim I'm usually lost within two minutes. And that's in a Piper Cub.
😄 All got to start somewhere! 👍🏻
No way I could save part 2 for later, having enjoyed part 1 so much!
Glad to hear!
A suggestion for a video if I may. Your key bindings on your joystick ? Would be a great help for novices like me.
Trim, gear, flaps and throttle - simples! 😅 I also bind camera views for recording.

Back to proper flying.

It’s the lever on front left cockpit with round handle. Search keyboard keybinds for gear and you’ll find it.
