Regardless if you like the Xbox games that are coming out, they have a lot more of them. And essentially, all of the games find its way to the PC, so the monopoly really isn't there, in fact both consoles seem rather lackluster this generation, there's some great games on both, but far too few. Sony is just doing remaster after remaster of games that did not need a remaster, and Microsoft is buying studios instead of making games.

You can probably get one cheap in a 2nd hand game store. I've been playing mine a lot over the last year because not many current gen games are worth buying.
Speak for yourself but I'm excited about both of them. Zero Dawn was by far my favourite PS4 game but it didn't have gyro aiming (Forbidden West did). I assume the remaster will and that alone is a massive quality of life improvement.
While waiting for RE9, GTA6, and apparently this new Ghost game, I am sad that there are PS3 games that deserved to be remastered or at least reviewed again on PS5. These games include Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance 2 and 3, and Heavenly Sword. I miss those games so much.😢

To be fair we also need a resolution boost. The game AA is absolutely terrible (if it uses any), and high resolution it's always nice on a big screen. 1440p 60fps (like Demon's Souls) would be perfect.

PS1 and PS2 games set the bar very high. It's not just a matter of nostalgia, honestly most of the older games are better to the point that there's not much excitement in the presentation of new games.
It's hard to convince alot of gamers these days because alot of them are easily distracted by flashy looking and playing games with lots of marketing buzzword hype.
That's because you're blinded by nostalgia. Most of those games had broken controls and broken cameras because 3D was still new to developers. And then visually, our brains filled in most of the gaps in unrealistic looking polygon character models. Look how dated Metal Gear Solid looks.
Please get us a Squaresoft PS1 collection, since you won't let us buy the PS1 games on the store anymore. We need Xenogears, Parasite Eve, Einhander, and all the other big non-Final Fantasy titles!

I think Sony has never been so disconnected to its playerbase. Feels bad. 50% dragons and bash swords, a bit of lackluster VR, Astrobot and Ghost and the rest colorful retro, Lego and Palworlds... A bit one-sided and nothing really surprising...

Speak for yourself but I'm excited about both of them. Zero Dawn was by far my favourite PS4 game but it didn't have gyro aiming (Forbidden West did). I assume the remaster will and that alone is a massive quality of life improvement.

While waiting for RE9, GTA6, and apparently this new Ghost game, I am sad that there are PS3 games that deserved to be remastered or at least reviewed again on PS5. These games include Killzone 2 and 3, Resistance 2 and 3, and Heavenly Sword. I miss those games so much.😢

To be fair we also need a resolution boost. The game AA is absolutely terrible (if it uses any), and high resolution it's always nice on a big screen.
1440p 60fps (like Demon's Souls) would be perfect.

He closed Japan Studio, Sony's ONLY remaining Japanese studio, moved Playstation HQ to California and gave us nothing but slop under his tenure. Jim Ryan is the worst thing to have happened to PS and I hope his legacy remains him being a bozo

PS1 and PS2 games set the bar very high. It's not just a matter of nostalgia, honestly most of the older games are better to the point that there's not much excitement in the presentation of new games.
It's hard to convince alot of gamers these days because alot of them are easily distracted by flashy looking and playing games with lots of marketing buzzword hype.

That's because you're blinded by nostalgia. Most of those games had broken controls and broken cameras because 3D was still new to developers. And then visually, our brains filled in most of the gaps in unrealistic looking polygon character models. Look how dated Metal Gear Solid looks.
