@@nazrulhisham2573me too, everyday. i love bjorn, but feel as if we never got enough from Glenn. Dimension Zero is a band you should check out if you haven’t.
When i first heard In Flames it was once mp3s arrived in 90s. I didnt understand their music at that time but meodies were catchy. Mid 2000s i understood and they rose to my fav band. Enjoy their entire catelog old and new. Met them a couple times and seen live maybe 6 times in USA.

The best IN FLAMES line-up, really miss Glen and Jesper Thank God this video exist, this is why we say that in flames can do so much more nowadays. Time has passed, they got older, they "evolved", etc etc But for me this was the reason I came in into metal music in the 90´s Thanx in flames for those great albums, not a trace of that times anymore, it is a shame I guess the new fans find this gig senseless, but because of this IN FLAMES exist
I like both the old and new stuff..but its this melancholy that comes when you see the oldies that reminds me how much i love Whoracle and Jester race...
I I like both old and new In Flames but I can see how fans of the old might not like the new. Personally, I would love to see them merge the styles and bring some of this intensity back.
I love old AND new In Flames. People limit themselves by using the old oh they went commercial. No! They experimented because they are artists. Very talented musicians. I remember this era of epic metal awareness but I wont say that what they do now sucks because they are more commercial. I love their music. Period!
And when they play live now, they ALWAYS include some oldies!! Even with the newer members since the lineup has changed. They’ll forever be badass Godfathers of melodic death metal
They definitely were. He said he had zero technique until before Colony, he just screamed. You can hear it in this live recording well, it does not sound like it feels nice for him, although it sounds good.
He's not a hipster, he's a true fan of Gothenburg death metal, just like me. This was back when Melodeath actually had something to do with death metal, not some slimy metalcore. Are you a hipster when you love music? NO!
Keep your /facepalm on World of Warcraft, thank you very much. I just happen to have a different opinion to you, there's no need to mock it. Of course the Jester Race is a masterpiece but in 1996 Whoracle hadn't yet been released. I respect the fact that you think IF peaked with Lunar Strain and TJR, but they had so many classic albums ahead of them (including my favourite, Colony) and an evolution into a complex, modern sound. Old IF is great, new IF is great, but they didn't peak in 1996.
No, but stating your opinion with a stupid nostalgic way like you did does,i still find them awesome, i am just saying that stating your opinion like you did on your second comment is much more worthy of respect than asking a very vague question like "what happened" like all the other world decided with you that something has gone wrong.
Using the expression "what happened" should be easier to convey the meaning than typing our a paragraph. You should be able to easily infer the meaning without any further explanation or analysis.
Sounds like Ander's vocals during that time were very straining. Glad he changed even though I do miss these vocals. Every album is good. Don't be an elitist.
But every album isn't good. It's not being elitist, it's just being in tune with your own musical preferences. If you don't enjoy a commercial sound with less of the original style of playing, and vocals that you don't enjoy ...then it's worse.
They sold out. As much as I hate the term, In Flames is the one band (Along with "The M word" to which that word applies. I miss the old Gothenburg sound. There are no retro melodeath bands, which is a shame. I really miss it.
So insane how good of a guitarist Glenn is
I wonder how Colony & Clayman would sound with Glenn instead of Bjorn..
@@nazrulhisham2573me too, everyday. i love bjorn, but feel as if we never got enough from Glenn.

@@nazrulhisham2573 Nothing alike, different playing styles, both great players.

Epic! Ander's voice is outstanding!
Thank you for uploading this. I would always see just small clips of this show.
I I like both old and new In Flames but I can see how fans of the old might not like the new. Personally, I would love to see them merge the styles and bring some of this intensity back.

Sad but true
They definitely were. He said he had zero technique until before Colony, he just screamed. You can hear it in this live recording well, it does not sound like it feels nice for him, although it sounds good.
Ich war da!!!
I fucking LOVE youtube and In Flames! :D
👏 🇦🇷
They basically never show Jesper!
Yeah! Camera crew with no "fingerspitzgefühle". Jesper's brilliant solos and lead work almost unnoticed visually.🤷♂️
Why they didn't play the solo on December flower
It was a guest solo and being honest I doubt either of them can play it. It’s a very hard solo

They need more money :D
Björn on drums?
Yes
Wow, Johan Larsson was NOT comfortable on stage. 😅

Must have been fun when lunar strain was old material lol. Now old material is clayman and all the 2000s shit.
Jester race and whoracle best lyrics ive ever heard.
