The very guide I've been waiting for! Thank you for sharing. Would love to see you try the new Arena of Solare or just any pvp along with commentary on your decision making! AoS is my first real pvp experience that I didnt get one shot and I am absolutely in love with it. As a noob that has been playing only Succ Nova for Life Skill and PvE since I started playing about 4 months ago, I honestly don't know what most of my skills do in pvp nor what role Succ Nova has in a team play.
Definitely something I'm thinking about as well, I just tried the new arena today and I agree its a lot of fun! I've been pulling together clips to do a war tactics video, but its hard to get the right footage. The arena seems like it might help with that, showing different comp's and strategies :D
Haha I know, been too busy with life lately and want to get back into some more BDO content! So far I love the changes in PVP with the recent cooldowns change, very noticeable!! Using Stamma’s Mate now feels a lot better in combos, and Frozen earth seems to be more effective with the pulse hits on Axian. I haven’t done much grinding yet so I can’t say how it feels there, but I imagine it’s only gotten better. Looking forward to getting the improved rabams too, especially Q. Closing!

Happy to help! Currently in the game, there is no true 'support' class outside of Shai. Every class has the ability to do damage alongside some other thing that makes them unique. That said, the Succession spec leans more towards CC/Defence then she does 'attack'. That isn't to say she can't kill players or monsters, but other classes will do that faster and more easily. Where she does well is setting up CC's for other players, pushing damage while staying protected from most CC's and blocking players with her ice wall. She can be difficult for other players to kill (especially if they don't have a grab) if she is geared appropriately and supported by allies. Assuming you mean animation cancelling, I don't have a video for that, but I would check out th-cam.com/video/LOI0vFsLwak/w-d-xo.html as it has some combo's which are still relevant today :)
Using evasion on Succ Nova is generally NOT recommended for PVP because she has low base evasion and no self-buffs to bolster it. Additionally, most Eva sets would have you forgo Accuracy gloves in favour of the Evasion version, so you are losing out on being able to land hits in favour for a small bump on Eva (most would agree this is not a good tradeoff). Given that Succ has no accuracy self buffs or eva shred outside of addons (which every class has), in many cases you will find you loose too much accuracy and don't gain enough tankyness with the eva. That said, the same applies to PVE but may not matter as much depending on where you grind. The need for tankiness or heavier accuracy may not be needed in some spots and you could be totally fine. Alternatively, if you have other accessories to compensate (ex. lunar necklace) for the lack of accuracy, you may also be fine. Your best option is to tag it and see for yourself, but you can also use garmoth.com to check some stats like hitrate based on your gear. Hope that helps!
Thanks! I haven't done any T1's node wars in a while, however from what I know of the restrictions, it is very similar to capped siege but with a few more capped stats. Look to meet the cap stats while using special accessories and crystals if possible, specifically looking to bolster stats which are not capped. For example Chimera earrings are a quest earring which you can buy from a vendor, each gives 10% down attack damage so wearing 2 is a nice little damage boost. Additionally, try to stack stamina where possible to help you keep up with your guildies and move across the map easier. Try using corrupt crystals in your offhand as stacking HP is likely not viable there, and the crit damage is nice. Other things you can try are stacking grab resists and ignore resists with crystals and accessories, see if that helps you land your cc's more often and hold off against our biggest weakness: grabs! If you grind more than you PVP, it makes sense to prioritize Kutum over Nouver as that will give you more silver from your grind which in turn allows you to improve your gear. If your main focus in the game is PVP and you are heading towards a DR gear build, I'd recommend getting a TET kutum for light grinding, and focusing on the Nouver + other gear upgrades for PVP. For some niche pvp situations (ex. fighting a player who is stacking resists) it can make sense to swap to kutum for PVP due to the 10% ignore resist stat it gives, but this is the exception and not the norm. I have a kzarka main hand with 19 caphras levels, and a dandelion awakening weapon (working on caphras still, at lvl 11). Blackstar is definitely an option too, if you can get it. I personally don’t have the silver and enhancing hasn’t worked for me so I just pumped caphras instead as it was a more reliable investment.
For the snowy background clip: Remastered with TAA, high textures, no photo filter. I also have a nvidia sharpen filter on to help offset some blurriness from TAA For the PVP clip at the end: Medium graphics, high textures, FXAA, NonContrast photo filter, effect opacity 44

For PVP, I wouldnt recommend stacking BSR. Sadly your more likely to immediately die trying to use it because it’s so slow and roots you in place, not to mention the skill is pretty easy to avoid so it’s not likely to do very much. It is unfortunate because it looks really cool! Generally, it’s better to absorb the rage so you get a buff on your normal skills or pass it to a party member.
How do you think about sacrificing some damage to putting 2 Hoom into awaking weapon, and put 1 grab 1 knock down resistance crystals in to Urugon's Shoes to maximize these 2 resistance in PVP (80%)
I used to run x2 adamantines before they changed resists capping this year, but I haven’t tried it since the change. Back then I did notice that it helped, but it wasn’t a huge difference since so many skills are SA already. If you mostly only use SA protected skills it may not be worth it now that we have received a buff with lowered cooldowns on 3 of our SA skills (making it easier to stay protected from CCs). That said, if you find yourself using some unprotected or frontal guard skills a fair bit in your combo, then it could still be beneficial. I’d say it’s worth a shot to try it! You could also try using the manos necklace with grab resist too as a cheaper way to just “test” if resists would be noticeable enough for you.
@@Lyantha After some test, the grab resistance does doing some help when facing some no grab chance / grab resistance ignore buff classes, such as ninja and sage. But no effect on facing grab resistance ignore buff classes, such as warrior, berserkers. The knock down resistance does help to survive by not getting the 2nd knock down to give chance to use S+C and rely on Caesar berserk mode , but not always work
Succ Nova's low mobility is one of her weaknesses. To help a bit with this, here are some tips from my own experiences: Positioning: I would recommend either staying at the beginning of your ally 'ball' of players or near the back/flanks. The last thing you want to do is waste your protected charge, burn a bunch of stamina and get nowhere. Positioning at the front allows you to act more as a tank, and you can Ice wall any enemy pushes towards your allies and protect them if they are unprepared. Positioning yourself at the front also allows you to push into the enemy ball using your dash without getting body-blocked by your own allies. That said, this position does require a fair bit more gear, as you'd essentially be a frontliner tank. If you find you're a bit too squishy for this role, then you should stay in the back or on the sides and protect ranged classes. Remember that Succ Nova has a lot of mid-range skills (along with some melee) and thus can afford a bit of distance while outputting damage. Additionally, you have a grab that can protect some classes in the back, and it will mean you can more easily retreat from a fight if the call is to fall back (and not get body-blocked by your own allies again). Positioning in the middle of the ball of your allies is the worst place for Succ Nova as it cuts out nearly all our options to move around without hitting another body, and given the enemy will have some people behind you it often means your more likely to get back-attacked. Stamina management: this is pretty important in order to be able to engage and escape, but luckily you can regenerate stamina while blocking AND while moving in block (we're cool like that). If your burning stamina too quickly, try mixing in w+f (Quoratum's Ascension) as much as possible as it regenerates stamina while being protected and moving forward. The awakening crossover skill w+c (Swooping Ring) will also give you forward motion, though it comes at small stamina cost. You can also chain your skill s+c and hold it at the end to charge up your dash. Releasing it will somewhat slingshot you into a dash, and its great for making swift turns to move in a different direction. Also, (as silly as it sounds) for long distance mobility you can also use your grab on the ground to jump-start your charge and it can carry you a fair distance. I would not recommend doing this PVP situations though as you don't want to waste the long grab CD. Block/Run: Recent change brought an annoyance back where you auto-block after dashing now. This makes simple walking/keeping up with a group more challenging as its not as easy to quick dash and resume running (as its now forcing you into block). A quick way around this is to jump at the end of your dash as it cancels the block, but unfortunately that puts you into a sprint after so it still burns stamina. No great answer here unfortunately! Hopefully this helps! :)
