Everything you guy's were doing in the snow brought back so many memories. My older cousin that was my dad's age would always come down and get us in thus train and take us down the road. Then he would put all of us on a big sled and go driving around their house back to our house. Basically the neighborhood. Back then our town was small. I have to agree with Austin that their are alot of people don't know how to drive in this snow. Especially when you have white out conditions or the lanes are hard to see driving. They will just past you and then we would see them up the road in the ditch. Glad everyone had a good time. 🥰
So much family fun! It's so nice to see kids playing outside and having fun. Gideon has the funniest personality! When he was talking about putting tomatoes in his oatmeal, it cracked me up! Evy is such a sweetheart, asking if her Papa was ok!

He was already written out of the show… Had nothing to do with those currently on the show exclamation! With all the filth TLC airs on some of their other programs… And they kick these guys off!?!? I don’t get it.
I’m in North Carolina. Love , we get way more freezing rain and then “black ice” than we do snow. Just like you we might if we are “lucky” get one snow a year if that (lived here almost 31 years) I think in only 3 of the 31 years has it snow more than twice and one of those the highway was 6-8 inches and within 4 days after the sun takes it all away thank God! I detest ALL weather below 70 degrees 😂🤣😂🤣

Yeah our kids trained in driving in the snow since the age of 14. They could get their permit at 14. So they started driving with us and drove all winter long. At first I started them in the high school parking lot when it was empty of vehicles. So they could get used to the snow. They we headed out to the countryside and their aunts house to practice on gravel roads and paved roads that were not busy before going on busier roads with more traffic. By the time they got their drivers license they were very comfortable with it! We live in very North Iowa by the Minnesota border!
Gideon reminds me of my nephew Aiden!! Personality for days!! Smart beyond words and talked like he was 20 years old AT only 4!!! My nephew told me when he was only 4; " THAT I WASN'T UP TOO A CERTAIN CALIPER"; BECAUSE I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND SOMETHING!!! I WAS LIKE.."WHERE DID YOU LEARN THAT WORD, AND WHAT IT MEANS"?!! Gideon is such a jokester. And he’s become so much more talkative. Play dates are the best. Kids get to play and moms get to have adult time. Such an unique way to sled. It seems the older cousins take good care of their younger cousins. It looks like everyone had a really nice snow day and a half.

Hoping you get electricity soon. I obtained Covid a few years ago and I am 100% dependent on oxygen. Before being dependent on oxygen for my life, I never worried about electricity being out. Praying for all people who depend on electricity for their health. Praying for y'all Joy especially your pregnancy 🙏!
Oh gosh. Does you power company know? Here the say to get a doctors note and they will have it back on sooner. Also do you have portable tanks to run till power comes on? I wish you the very best. When I was an ER RN, we would have people come in when power would be out because they didn’t have power. That is always an option. Please take care.

My goodness, just to let you know, just because so many people live in the North doesn't mean that they know how to drive in the snow. Multiple (50) car pileups. The trick is to keep your tires rolling.❄❄❄❄❄ We used to get pulled around on a toboggan.
