what I like the most was how few times he went to ground while defending... I might be wrong but I can only remember seeing it once in this compilation. i'm looking forward to watching him develop into one of the best CB's in the world.

It's nice seeing a player and a highlight video not just displaying tackles. It's great to have a defender using his physicality and speed and only tackling as a last resort.
He’s actually really quick and I like it that he rarely does sliding tackles and if he does it’s mostly outside the box. Decent passer and good height and build reminds me of Van Dijk hope he becomes our version of him

He seems really calm on the ball, a quality in our cbs we need for Emery's system, he is still raw on some fronts but then again he is an 18 year old with just 15 senior games under his belt. The loan to St. Ettienne in my point of view is the right move, he is a 6ft 4 CB showing maturity in his game at the age of 18 but as expected still has some green patches which would be put under a microscope and used to berate him to the point of destroying his confidence by some of our "fans" if he was playing for us this season.

Some say this guy is only good on TH-cam and might not be good in reality. Let me convince you why he is good just from this clip alone.
Firstly, look at this guy's physique. At 6'3" , he has the exact physique and height to be the archetypal EPL defender, very much like VVD.
2. Just like VVD, you don't expect him to be quick off the floor because of his HIGH CENTER OF GRAVITY and yet, this guy looks quick/speedy for a 6'3" CB. At 2:00, Mbappe couldn't even dribble past him( see 1:55- 1:59).
3. His positional sense is AMAZING for a 19 year old. I have watched football for 40 odd years and I very rarely see 19 year old CBs have this much positional sense and awareness. He turns his body to show attackers where he want a them and they buy it all the time. That's what defending is and many young CBs aren't taught this art anymore.
4. He is rather good on the ball. A fine passer with 2 quick feet. Again odd for a man of his size, who you expect to be clumsy but he is not ( See 0:47 & 0:53).
5. He is a tough tackler- Yes, this is one of the TRAITS required to succeed in the EPL. Just like a John Terry, a Rio Ferdinand, a Sol Campbell and a Vidic. Furthermore, Saliba seems to have learnt to stay on his feet and ONLY dives into tackles when absolutely necessary. (See 0:39).
6. He uses his body very well to shield the ball. Many players get taught tgis at football academies but only few perfect it as DM, Full backs, CBs & FWs (See 3:02).
7. Good in the air. (See 1:07). He would be dominant too when he grows taller.
8. There's more to this lad. He has the passion and love of defending.
These and more are reasons why Spina would succeed at Arsenal.
