    Great presentation. Perfect blend of talking and playing. Musicianship was stellar. Knowledge of the guitar’s specs was apparent and well articulated. Demonstration and explanation of the different pickup configurations via the 5 position blade switch was the best I have seen and more importantly, heard. Reminds me of the Music Man Sabre. Have you compared the two?

      Thanks for the kind words, David! We haven't had a Sabre in stock yet, but when we do, we'll certainly try and include the two in a video!

    I am looking at this guitar and the PRS DGT. Which do you think is the most versatile for an 80s cover band?

    The Wilkinson bridge on this guitar will retrofit a guitar previously fitted with a Gotoh 510, or you can buy the locking saddles and put them on an existing 510.

      What specifically stands out to you? To me… Room + mic(s) + speakers + amp + hands… so many variables. You may be referring to something more refined than I am, but it’s always funny to me how I’ll sound different than someone else playing the same everything in the same place.

    I have one of these (see my profile photo!) that I bought from Peach. Had it a couple of years now, and the only thing I’d change on it would be to put a Floyd trem on there, but that’s just personal preference and because I’m used to having them on my other guitars - the trem that’s on there is still very good. Also maybe swap the wiring round on the pickup selector for the 2 neck positions - always feels a bit strange trying to find position 2 for the humbucker setting.

      hello sir I'd like to ask if is this guitar able to get vintage sounds ? for example for a simple blues gigg will it be too much as volume and sound ?

    • @guitardave
      @guitardave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@huussI’d say it can do pretty much anything! The pickups aren’t too hot, so a blues gig should sound brilliant with the neck pickup (which can also be split to sound like a single coil).

    • @huuss
      @huuss 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@guitardave thanks for the anwer sir what about bridge pickup it is a bit hotter I guess but i can be split also ? 🎻😊

    • @guitardave
      @guitardave 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@huuss It’s medium output I’d say. It can’t be split, but it can be switched from series to parallel so it sounds like a single coil. (using the push / pull tone control)

    Love that guitar, but wish he would have found a better place for the pup selector. It's why I don't own a strat. My hand is always bumping the dern thing out of position.

    • @BeefNEggs057
      @BeefNEggs057 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @CBGypsy03

      Yes it's very noticeable.... I don't like it but have gotten over it. The guitar plays so well.

  • @favoriteblueshirt
    @favoriteblueshirt 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Great sounds. I wish Pete Townsends guitar tech would put this guitar into Pete's hands. Far more beef than the Strat's he uses these days. It might go some way to addressing the return of the Les Paul sound whilst keeping a nice wirey Strat option and offering a lighter load.
    (I felt a Thownsend suggestion from the chords at times).

      You do get what you pay for, an excellent built versatile instrument. Other guitars like PRS 10 tops can go for $1000-2000 more so I say it is priced fairly for the craftsmanship and tech you get.
