Traditional food from different parts of the Philippines should be showcased more. Local government should help introduce their native fare. Maybe they could put up an area where tourists & locals could sample all of them in one place. I have been to different parts of the Philippines but, i must admit that i've rarely tried local dishes. I have not tried them, not because i don't like the food but, because i don't know anything about it. Only the popular dishes are the ones i got to try. Sometimes a friend introduces some of their traditional food because they are locals of that area & they want to share with you a bit of their culture. You're lucky if you've got a local showing you around. They always tend to know the best food & places to eat at.

Nicely done. I remembered my time in the slammer where a muslim dormmate of mine will always cook this on fridays after his prayers. In this case, a spicy, mind boggling chicken dish that I miss alot.

Thank you for featuring this 'Piaparan a Manok'- a Maranao recipe. I'm a muslim and I felt so happy that a person like you, of course Erwan Heusaff ❤ was able to appreciate our foods. Thank you for this opportunity to let the whole world knows that Maranao foods exist. Thank you!
Love your content Erwan! ❤️

Miyakapiapia i taam so loto oka kuya.
I assume it taste like curry? Anyway that dish is perfect for Ramadan.. :)
Different.
Chicken curry is different but similar. The turmiric is used for the food coloring but this dish has this “palapa” special ingredient that makes it different from any other dishes.
not really. there's no curry in this dish.
By the way i really love ur epispde today. Im not a muslim but i think its high time that we show the other side of them esp their delicious food. Kudos to u erwan!
Maranao has similarity with nusantara language! udang = udang, kanduri = kenduri
In Malaysia we also use udang (shrimp) and kenduri :)
There is no need to find similarities with Maranao and you dont have to go outside Malaysia to find Maranao. Iranuns of Malaysia are 99% related to Maranaos of Mindanao. Iranuns speak deeper Maranao language.
@@junmackno3910 sometimes we have to venture outside in order to see the inside..well we just back from cdo from muslim missionary works..this dish brought back out our sweet memories there..how we missed our friends in malliwanaq and ballulang
I already love this man because of what you did... Thanks because you appreciate our maranao culture..
What’s your name? Erwan.. Erwin. Erwan..

I'm a Maranao, but I grew up in Cebu. And I remember how I always get uncomfortable whenever I open my lunchbox and see "piyarun a manok/suda". I just don't like how my classmates bombarded me with questions about it... I'm glad you've showcased this food. Really.
showcasing indigenous recipes from other provinces is a great idea. More please
Waaah! Thank you for featuring one of the muslim's best dishes. Shukran♥️ Nakakataba ng ♥️

Absolutely LOVE this video! I moved to the US when I was 10, now 23, and I didn’t even know nor did it cross my mind that there are different religions and different types of food in the motherland. At least not this different from what you usually see with traditional Filipino food. Love it! Please do more of these!
My mom is a pure maranao and my dad is a christian, after thier divorce because of a conflict religion matter. My mom decision to gave it me back to my dad so I can have a better life. at age of 18 my dad give me a long vacation to visit mom at Lanao del sur. when Im already there Im became emotional because I really missed the culture where I've been before when I was a child specially for the food.. I really admire you guys to try thier food delicacy cause there's something special for thier recipe that you've never been try before.. but before all of that, be ready for the almost nucliar spicy taste for all the food what pick at the table.😋🔥
Thank you so much sir Erwan for giving highlights through our traditional delicacy, more power to you and Godbless!
#NewSubscriber here🖐️
Nicely done. I remembered my time in the slammer where a muslim dormmate of mine will always cook this on fridays after his prayers. Yes, you can cook insanely delicious food inside(provided that you have someone to bring the ingredients). And yes, even in hard times, there's always a silver lining waiting. In this case, a spicy, mind boggling chicken dish that I miss alot.
Thank you for showcasing our Maranao Cuisine. We have a lot to offer and I hope more Erwan will feature more of these dishes. Phanalamatan ami ska!!!
Good job, sir Erwan. I love this episode 👏👏👏SALAMAT sa pag vlog ng maranao dish. MABUHAY 🎉
